Jones will guard the crease on the road against the Islanders on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones has effectively replaced Brian Elliott as the veteran No. 2 behind starter Carter Hart. As such, Jones should probably not be expected to play in more than 30-35 games this year, perhaps even less if Hart is performing at peak levels. Given his limited usage, Jones figures to be a low-end fantasy target this season and won't offer much in the way of value outside of pairing him with Hart.

Jones will start and play all three periods in Saturday's home preseason game versus Washington, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones struggled in his preseason debut Thursday against the Bruins, surrendering three goals on just 11 shots before being replaced by Felix Sandstrom for the second half of the eventual 4-2 loss. Jones will hope to play better while getting an opportunity to finish the contest Friday against the Capitals.

Jones is starting Thursday night's exhibition game against the Bruins,Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will make his debut in a Flyers uniform after signing a one-year deal with them in July. The nine-year veteran appeared in 34 games last season and is expected to hold a backup role behind Carter Hart this year but will garner the start in the team's opening exhibition game Thursday night.

Jones agreed to terms on a one-year, $2 million contract with Philadelphia on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will look to revitalize his career as the No. 2 option behind youngster Carter Hart. Having missed the 20-win mark in two straight campaigns, the 31-year-old Jones could get back over that mark this year even if Hart sees the bulk of the starts but shouldn't be expected to take over as the starter.

Jones was designated for waivers by San Jose on Tuesday for the purpose of buying out his contract, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will see his six-year tenure with the Sharks come to an end, having logged 327 games for the organization in which he posted a 325-170-121 record, 18 shutouts and a .907 save percentage. After back-to-back seasons in which the 31-year-old netminder failed to reach the 20-win mark, the club is poised to turn the reins over to Adin Hill. For his part, Jones will likely have to sign as a No. 2 option but could look for a spot where he could at least compete for more starts.

Jones was exposed to Seattle in advance of Wednesday's Expansion Draft.
EDGE Analysis
Jones is an interesting netminder in the sense that he's played in 134 regular-season games over the last three years while posting identical lackluster .896 save percentages in each. He's a proven workhorse between the pipes -- as evidenced by his 60-plus games four years running from 2015-19 -- but the 31-year-old's ratios have taken a dive and he appears to be past his prime. Jones has three years remaining on his current deal worth $5.75 million annually.

Jones allowed five goals on 31 shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Jones needed to make a one-goal lead stick over the last 11 minutes of the game, but he couldn't pull it off. Nazem Kadri tallied with 3:39 left in regulation and Andre Burakovsky sealed the Avalanche's comeback 41 seconds into overtime. The 31-year-old Jones hasn't won since April 9 -- he's 0-5-2 in eight appearances since his last victory. For the season, the veteran goalie has a 15-13-4 record with a 3.28 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 34 games. He's lost work to Josef Korenar lately, and that trend could continue as the Sharks were eliminated from playoff contention with Monday's defeat.

Jones will guard the home net Monday against the Avalanche, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones gave up just two goals on 35 shots in Friday's loss to Colorado but got no support from his teammates, who were shut out by Philipp Grubauer. Colorado's league-best offense (3.49 goals per game) will make it difficult for Jones to match Friday's effort, and his unimpressive ratios (3.22 GAA, .898 save percentage) are in danger of eroding further in this difficult matchup.

Jones will patrol the crease during Friday's road game versus the Avalanche, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was awful in his last start Saturday against Minnesota, surrendering three goals on just eight shots before being replaced by Josef Korenar at the start of the second period of the eventual 6-3 loss. He'll attempt to shake off that rough performance and snap his personal five-game losing streak in a tough road matchup with a Colorado club that's 18-4-2 at home this year.

Jones allowed three goals on eight shots and was pulled after 20 minutes in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Jones looked to be handcuffed by Ryan Suter's long shot from the right circle that opened the scoring just 19 seconds into the game, and the 31-year-old Jones gave up two more goals before being replaced by Josef Korenar to start the second period. Jones is now winless in his last six starts (0-5-1) and owns an .896 save percentage for the year.
