Scheifele (COVID-19) will not be in Thursday's lineup against Anaheim, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele produced another positive test and will be forced to miss Thursday's contest. He'll be questionable for Saturday's tilt against the Predators.

Scheifele was placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Thursday, but could still be an option against Anaheim on Thursday, per Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele becomes the second member of the Jets to enter the COVID-19 protocols along with Blake Wheeler. If Scheifele is unable to play, Winnipeg will be hard-pressed to generate any sort of offense versus the Ducks. In Scheifele's stead, Pierre-Luc Dubois would likely step into a first-line role with the Jets likely needing to promote a player from the minors.

Scheifele registered two assists in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele was the playmaker on a line with Kyle Connor and Andrew Copp. That top-line trio combined for three goals and eight points in the contest. Scheifele missed the season opener due to a suspension, but he'll hold down a starring role in the Jets' offense now that he's back in action.

Scheifele served the final match of his four-game suspension from the end of 2021-22 against Anaheim on Wednesday and is eligible to play versus San Jose on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele has reached the 20-goal and 60-point marks in each of the last six seasons. With his ban behind him, the world-class center should be capable of challenging for the 80-point threshold this year, making him an elite-level fantasy producer. In addition to his spot on the first line, Scheifele is a lock for the No. 1 power play as well.

Scheifele will not be available for Opening Night to kick off the 2021-22 campaign as he has one game remaining on his suspension.
EDGE Analysis
Unfortunately for Scheifele, the Jets were swept in their best-of-seven series with Montreal while he still had one game left to serve on his four-game ban. Even with his suspension, the 28-year-old center should be capable of putting up 70-80 points next year with a full 82-game season. Considering the Ontario native has racked up 20-plus goals in six straight campaigns, fantasy players should consider selecting Scheifele early in drafts next fall.

Scheifele has received a four-game suspension for his hit on Jake Evans in Wednesday's Game 1 loss to Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Evans needed to be stretchered off the ice after Scheifele laid down a brutal hit in the final minute of Wednesday's contest. Now, Winnipeg's regular-season scoring leader will be out until Game 6 on June 11, if that game is still necessary. The 28-year-old had five points in as many games so far this postseason. Paul Stastny (undisclosed) could take over as the top-line center if he's able to suit up for Friday's Game 2 tilt.

Scheifele will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Thursday for charging on Montreal's Jake Evans.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele's meeting is not an in-person hearing, so the max suspension that can be levied against the world-class center is five games. Still, with the Jets dropping the first game in the series to the Habs, losing their leading scorer from the regular season (63 points) won't improve Winnipeg's chances of advancing. The absence of Paul Stastny (undisclosed) will further stretch the center depth for the Jets and could see Pierre-Luc Dubois elevated to the first line.

Scheifele had 17 PIM and two shots in Wednesday night's 5-3 loss to Montreal in Game 1.
EDGE Analysis
After Jake Evans sealed the deal for the Habs on an empty-net goal, Scheifele came flying in on Evans and hit him high causing the Montreal forward to lay motionless on the ice. The Canadian centre was showing his emotional all night, constantly involved in post-whistle scrums during his 24:43 of ice time. Scheifele was given a match penalty on the play and this may not be the extent of the discipline he'll receive. If he is going to be suspended or fined, it will have to be announced prior to Game 2 Friday night.

Scheifele posted an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 3.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele helped out on a Blake Wheeler goal at 14:28 of the third period. Through three playoff games, Scheifele has racked up three helpers, five shots, seven blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. The top-line center ended the regular season with eight points in his last five contests, and he's kept the hot run going as the Jets have earned a 3-0 series lead over the Oilers.

Scheifele posted two assists, two shots on net and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Scheifele had a hand in empty-net goals by linemates Kyle Connor and Blake Wheeler late in the third period. The 28-year-old Scheifele ended the regular season on a five-game point streak (two tallies, six helpers), and it looks like he's kept the momentum rolling in the playoffs. The first-line center will likely be involved in a lot of the Jets' scoring plays in their first-round series against the Oilers.
