Former NHL player/current minor league-level forward Mark Bell had a big game for Iserlohn, but Nurnberg still won 7-6 on Sunday.
Bell had two goals and two assists in the game. It's unlikely that the big forward will ever get a huge shot to make it again, but you never know. One injury replacement could give him another chance since he at least has plenty of experience.

Mark Bell was in the lineup against Ottawa Saturday afternoon.
It was Bell's first NHL game in four years. Bell's promising career as a power forward went off track after he was convicted for an alcohol-related crime in 2006. He has toiled in the minors and in Europe without much success ever since. However, this season he has played well in Syracuseof the AHL and the Ducks rewarded him with a callup this week. Bell logged only 4:45 of ice time in six shifts against the Senators so he really doesn't have any fantasy value. But it is a nice redemption story none the less.

He has registered 13 points, 33 penalty minutes and a minus-11 rating in 32 games with the Ducks' AHL affiliate in Syracuse this campaign. Bell hasn't played in the NHL since 2007-08 when he was a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Mark Bell is still in the running for a fourth line spot on the Ducks.
It would be quite the comeback if he could break camp with Anaheim as he has been playing in Switzerland the last two seasons and had many failed attempts to resume his NHL career. Bell's prospects nosedived due to personal problems arising out of a drunken driving charge and accident in 2006. Bell was once an emerging power forward with plenty of promise. We don't know how much, if any of that player, is left but we wish him luck in his journey to play again in the NHL.
