Mark Arcobello had a goal and an assist in Edmonton's 8-2 win over Colorado on Thursday. That gives Arcobello three points in his last two games. Fantasy owners that remember Arcobello's point-per-game pace at the beginning of the season might be eager to pick him up in the hopes of riding another hot streak. However, keep in mind that Arcobello was getting top-six minutes in October as the Oilers' dealt with injuries. By contrast he logged just 12:46 minutes on Thursday and he's not likely to see his role significantly increase again despite his recent offensive outburst.

Mark Arcobello had an assist in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to Phoenix. Arcobello took advantage of some of the Oilers' early injuries to record 10 points in his first 10 games. However, with the team getting healthier, Arcobello went from averaging 17:45 minutes in October to 14:09 in November. That coincided with his production plummeting. He has just three points in his last 14 contests.

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled center Mark Arcobello from Oklahoma City of the AHL. Arcobello was sent down on Friday and did not participate in any AHL games. He has two goals and 12 points in 20 games with the Oilers but had only two goals and no assists in his last 10 games after getting off to a great start with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Sam Gagner, the Oilers top two centers, not in the lineup in the early part of the season due to injuries. He is a bottom six player unless Edmonton runs into more injuries at center and should be left on the waiver wire for now.

Mark Arcobello has been sent down to the minors. Arcobello got off to a great start this season with 10 assists in his first 10 games. However, he got his big break because the Oilers were dealing with injury troubles and as their centers started getting healthy, Arcobello got less ice time. He went from averaging 17:45 minutes in October to just 14:48 minutes in his last six contests. It still wouldn't be surprising to see him get another chance later this season.

The quietly productive forward is skating between Ryan Smyth and Nail Yakupov against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. Arcobello has two goals and 10 assists in 18 games, although he's only collected points in one of the last eight games.
