Arcobello signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, The Hockey News reports. Arcobello will join his fifth franchise in less than a calendar year after he spent the 2014-15 campaign with the Oilers, Predators, Penguins, and Coyotes. The diminutive forward's cheap, one-year contract could make him vulnerable to being traded again during the coming season, but for the time being, he'll be a candidate to skate on the Leafs' second or third line. Through all his stops last season, Arcobello netted 17 goals and set up 14 others in 77 games.

Arcobello, a restricted free agent, wasn't given a qualifying offer by the Coyotes and will enter free agency, the Arizona Republic's Sarah McLellan reports. This move comes as a surprise, as the Coyotes are horrendously shallow at center. Arizona was the fourth franchise Arcobello joined last year, but he did his best work of the season there, totaling nine goals and seven assists in 27 games. He'll look for work elsewhere when free agency opens Wednesday.

Arcobello will play for the US team at the upcoming World Championships, reports Sarah McLellan of AZ Central. It's a nice honor for Arcobello who had nine goals and 16 points in 27 games after his trade to Arizona. He finished the year with 31 points while playing for four different teams in 2014-15. He made a strong case to be back with the Coyotes next season as they look to rebuild.

Arcobello picked up an assist on the Coyotes' lone goal Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to Anaheim. He took four shots and added a hit in the game. Arcobello has points in five of his last seven games and with the Coyotes committed to rebuilding he has a chance to make a good impression on the team for next year. Since arriving in Arizona on February 11, Arcobello leads the team in goals (5) and points (6), while also being a strong possession player (53% CorsiFor) suggesting he is driving play for the team. After seeing time with four teams this year, he may have found a home.

Arcobello scored his 13th goal of the season Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Rangers. He took three shots and added a hit and two blocks in the contest. This was Arcobello's fourth goal in his last five games and fifth since joining the Coyotes. He has seen more ice time since joining Arizona than he was in previous stops and is taking advantage. If the Coyotes hang onto the 26 year-old winger through the trading deadline he could see even more chances. Long-term, however, he is not an elite guy, but he can help in deep leagues.
