Pettersson (undisclosed) left Tuesday's game versus the Capitals after a hard hit from T.J. Oshie.

In his last five outings, the defender has recorded a mere three shots, which isn't going to help him break out of his 41-game goalless streak. Still, the Swede needs just five more points to top the 20 mark for the first time in his career, though fantasy owners may not want to bank on those points coming in the form of goals.

Pettersson served up John Marino, who struck for the game-tying goal in the second period. Pettersson has offered sporadic offense this year, with 11 points in 34 games. The Swede has also managed 57 hits, 35 blocks and 36 shots on goal, but his usage on the third pairing limits his offensive production.

It shouldn't come as a shock that Pettersson drought has coincided a drop in power-play ice time with second unit. An injury to Kris Letang (lower body), however, could open the door for Pettersson to get some added minutes with the man advantage and get back onto the scoresheet.
