Petterrsson had a pair of assists with one shot on goal and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 7-2 win over Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson helped set up second-period goals by Jake Guentzel (PPG) and Dominik Simon for his first multi-point game since last February. The 23-year-old Swede has a goal and two assists through six games this season after logging two goals and 19 points in 57 games in 2018-19, his first season as a Penguin.

Pettersson scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 7-2 rout of Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson fared significantly better paired alongside Justin Schultz than in the first game of the year. The Swede figures to continue averaging north of 19 minutes a game throughout the season. If he can hold onto his spot on the No. 2 power play, the 23-year-old should continue to provide solid mid-range fantasy value.

Pettersson signed a one-year, $874,125 contract with Pittsburgh on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson essentially agreed to sign his qualifying offer, with the only difference being this deal is a one-way contact. The blueliner is betting on himself to repeat his productivity from the 2018-19 campaign, in which he notched two goals and 17 helpers in 57 games after joining the Penguins via trade. The youngster is also seemingly counting on the club taking care of him next time out, as he will remain a RFA heading into 2020-21 as well.

Pettersson is expected to report to training camp Friday, despite not having signed a new contract with the Penguins, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson was the Penguins' top priority this offseason, as the team is very high on the blueliner and expects him to be a regular top-four contributor. How general manager Jim Rutherford fits him in under the cap remains to be seen, but all signs point to a 2-3 year bridge deal for Pettersson. In 57 games for the Pens last year, the Swede racked up 19 points, including five with the man advantage, and should challenge for the the 30-point mark in 2019-20.

Pettersson was given a qualifying offer from the Penguins on Tuesday, Taylor Hasse of DK on Pittsburgh Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson was a lock to receive a qualifying offer from the Penguins, in order to retain his rights, as the blueliner figures to be a mainstay in the lineup this season. There is little chance the Swede will agree to sign his one-year, two-way offer worth $874,215 and instead will be looking for a more long term, higher value deal this summer. With the departure of Olli Maatta, Pettersson could be vaulted into Pittsburgh's top-four defensemen.

Pettersson will serve as an alternate for Sweden ahead of the 2019 IIHF World Championship, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
If anybody gets hurt or opts out of the tournament, Pettersson will get the opportunity to play for his national club. The 22-year-old saw action in 57 games with the Penguins after being brought in via trade from Anaheim. The blueliner averaged 17:57 of ice time in those contest and could see even more minutes heading into the 2019-20 campaign.

Pettersson logged an assist and two blocked shots in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson has two goals and 16 points in 48 games with the Penguins after a trade from the Ducks. The blueliner has 22 points in 75 total games this season, along with 88 hits, 102 blocked shots and 72 shots on goal. He can provide a little depth to owners in deeper formats.

Pettersson is bogged down in an eight-game goalless streak, despite logging 1:12 of ice time with the man advantage over that span.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson struggled to produce with the Ducks, as he managed a mere 10 points in 49 career games, but the Swede already has 14 since joining the Penguins (42 games). Still, the blueliner's opportunities on the second power-play unit could come to an end once Kris Letang (upper body) is cleared to return, which won't improve his chances of finding the back of the net.

Pettersson will eventually garner an extension from the Penguins, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. "We're going to resign him," GM Jim Rutherford said.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson's entry-level contract -- a deal originally procured by the Ducks in June of 2015 -- expires after this season, but he'll remain under the Penguins' control as a restricted free agent. Pettersson started the season with only six points (all assists) through 27 games for Anaheim, but he's since turned up the heat with Pittsburgh. Specifically, the Swede has notched a pair of goals to complement 11 helpers -- including four man-advantage points -- and a plus-10 rating between 35 contests for the Pens.

Pettersson recorded just his second multipoint effort of the year in Sunday's clash with the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson failed to score a goal in 27 games with the Ducks the season, but has found the back of the net twice since joining the Penguins. The Swede's tally came on the power play, a role he could struggle to hold on to with Justin Schultz back in the lineup.
