Johansson saw 5:11 of ice time with the man advantage against the Lightning on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Unfortunately for fantasy owners, Johansson was limited to just two shots on goal and failed to secure any points in Monday's Game 3 matchup. His first contest back following a 37-game absence due to his concussion, the winger returned to his top-six spot and should play an increased role heading into Wednesday's Game 4 as he continues to get his legs under him.

Johansson (concussion) will suit up against the Lightning in Monday's Game 3 matchup, Chris Ryan of the Star Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johansson hasn't played since Dec. 23 -- a stretch of 37 games -- when he took a malicious elbow to the head from Boston's Brad Marchand. Due to multiple concussions this season, the 26-year-old Johansson was limited to just 29 outings, in which he managed five goals and nine helpers. While he may have some rust to shake off, the winger should provide a boost to the Devils' offense and will lineup in a top-six role, based on Monday's game-day skate.

Johansson (concussion) has been given the go-ahead to start taking contact in practice, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach John Hynes was quick to point out that Johansson has yet to be cleared to return to game action; however, it would seem the winger is getting close. Saturday's Game 2 matchup with the Lightning might be a little too soon, but until the team officially rules him out, anything is possible. Multiple concussions have limited the 26-year-old to a mere 29 appearances this season, although he still managed to notch 14 points.

Johansson (concussion) is close to a return having skated again Saturday morning, though he's still not 100-percent healthy, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like Johansson was on the verge of returning by the end of the regular season, but reading between the lines on this latest report, he'll be preparing for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Johansson finishes with 14 points (five goals, nine assists) against a minus-11 rating through 29 games for the 2017-18 campaign.

Johansson (concussion) was removed from injured reserve and is expected to play Sunday in Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Johansson suffered from a pair of concussions this season, the latter one knocking him out for the last 31 games. Thankfully, he appears to finally be healthy once more and is ready to go as the Devils make a playoff push down the stretch. Johansson has five goals and 14 points in 29 games on the year.

Johansson (concussion) has been cleared for contact, but he won't play Saturday evening against the Islanders, Devils beat writer Amanda Stein reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Devils will get right back to work for Sunday's road tilt against the Canadiens. It seems unreasonable to expect the team to expedite a contact session for Johansson with his team playing out a back-to-back set, so Tuesday's home game against the Rangers is perhaps the most realistic target as far as a return date is concerned.

Johansson (concussion) appears to be making strides in his recovery, according to information that Mike Morreale of NHL.com relayed from Devils coach John Hynes. "He skated yesterday and today and it seems like he's making progress," Hynes said. "Still not in a team practice but maybe he could be going in that direction sometime in the near future."
EDGE Analysis
Johansson will miss his 28th straight game Saturday evening when the Devils welcome the Lightning to Prudential Center. After this one, there will only be seven games remaining in the regular season for New Jersey, but this Eastern Conference team still has better than 50-50 odds of making it to the playoffs, according to sportsclubstats.com.

Johansson (concussion) is expected to miss at least the next four games, Amanda Stein of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Swedish forward continues to skate, but a return to the lineup is unlikely to occur before the Devils return East following a four-game West Coast trip to play in Pittsburgh on March 23. Johansson has already missed 22 games due to a concussion he suffered Jan. 23, but the Devils are hopeful that he'll be able to return prior to the end of the season. After putting together a career-best season with the Capitals in 2016-17 by scoring 24 goals and 58 points, Johansson's first campaign with the Devils has been filled with injuries. As a result, Johansson has just five goals and 14 points in 29 games with New Jersey.

Johansson (concussion) skated on his own Wednesday morning, Devils' beat writer Amanda Stein reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given the sheer exuberrance exhibited by Stein in this latest report, it's clear that Johansson has made a significant step in his recovery. Of course, he's missed the past 20 games, and we wouldn't be surprised if most fantasy owners have already cut ties with him. However, Johnasson is a power-play weapon with a scorer's touch, so he could help the Devils in a big way upon his return; this team still has serious work to do in order to secure a playoff spot.

The Devils are holding out hope that Johansson (concussion) will be able to return this season, though that might be wishful thinking at this point, Andrew Gross of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
New Jersey acquired speedy winger Michael Grabner from the Rangers last Thursday, which at least partially offsets the absence of Johansson, who possesses a similar skill set. The Swede has recorded 14 points through 29 games, which projects well over a full season, but his struggles in getting past this latest malady crushes his fantasy value.
