The 26-year-old Gatcomb ended an 18-game point drought with his helper Wednesday. He's produced just three points with 30 shots on net, 108 hits and a plus-1 rating over 24 outings, so he doesn't need to be rostered in most fantasy formats.

Gatcomb was scratched for the second straight game in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Sabres.

Once Drouin returns, Gatcomb has a chance to remain with the Islanders instead of returning to AHL Bridgeport, but he'd likely rotate in and out of the lineup. When he does play, Gatcomb offers a premium value in hits per game, but has limited offensive upside.
