Fleury will get the starting nod for Tuesday's home opener against the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury clearly is enjoying being a No. 1 netminder again as he has been victorious in his first two contests of the year along with a 0.98 GAA and .973 save percentage. Arizona has potted five goals in its opening pair of games, but could struggle to get one past the Flower -- who is making his home debut for his new club.

Fleury made 27 of 28 saves in a 2-1 overtime victory against the Coyotes on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Starting for the second straight night, Fleury shined once again, allowing just one goal. He has yielded two goals on the first 73 shots he's faced this season, giving him a .973 save percentage. Starting back-to-back nights likely won't be the norm for the 32-year-old veteran, but early in the season, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise if he plays a lot because of the inexperience behind him. Vegas backup goaltender Malcolm Subban has appeared in two NHL games and owns a .727 save percentage in those outings.

Fleury will start in net against the Coyotes on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury carried the Golden Knights to victory Friday night, stopping 45 of the 46 shots that came his way. Vegas has opted to ride the highs of Fleury against a lowly Coyotes program, but he'll likely face a strong workload again. The long-time Penguins backstop wasn't expected to play back-to-back nights, but starting Saturday shows he may be called upon more than expected, especially since his backup Malcolm Subban has two games of NHL experience, posting a .727 save percentage.

Fleury saved 45 of 46 shots during Friday's 2-1 win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
The Stars entered as heavy favorites and peppered Fleury, but the veteran stood his ground and turned in a monster fantasy showing. Fleury is coming off a disappointing 2016-17 campaign (.909 save percentage and 3.02 GAA), and he's also slotted himself in as the face of the expansion Golden Knights franchise, so it will be interesting to see how the season plays out. However, he is going to be see the bulk of starts for Vegas, and if fantasy owners are selective with his matchups, there is potential for him to be a serviceable fantasy asset. Friday's dominant showing definitely serves as a case in point.

Fleury will be between the pipes for the franchise's first regular-season game against the Stars on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury will be making his first ever start in a sweater without a penguin on the front, which will no doubt be a strange site for hockey fans everywhere. The netminder -- who was drafted by Pittsburgh No. 1 overall in the 2003 NHL Draft -- was selected once again in June as the projected starter for the expansion Golden Knights. A three time Stanley Cup champion, the Flower is poised to get back to starting 55-plus games, as he's done through much of his career.

Fleury effectively minimized Anaheim's offense Sunday, making 26 of 28 saves in a 4-2 preseason victory.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury got the start between the pipes for the Golden Knights, and was only beaten by a no-look backhander along with a goal in the last 30 seconds of the game. Las Vegas selected Fleury to be a workhorse while they develop younger goaltending talent, and he looked up for the task in his first preseason action. The 2016-17 season was the first time in 11 years Fleury had a GAA above 3.00, and we'll see if having a consistent workload will spark him to a bounceback season.

Fleury will get the start in goal in Sunday's preseason game against the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury is expected to be the face of Las Vegas' new franchise for the foreseeable future, so he'll hope make a good first impression with a solid showing in Sunday's contest.

Fleury will join the Golden Knights after Pittsburgh included a draft pick in order to ensure he was selected in the expansion draft, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a significant number of solid goaltenders exposed to the expansion draft, the Penguins evidently wanted to guarantee that Fleury would be the player they were losing. The Golden Knights are not only getting their No. 1 netminder, but also a three-time Stanley Cup champion and consummate teammate who will almost certainly become the face of the franchise. There is an intriguing symmetry in this selection as it comes 14 years to the day from when Fleury was selected first overall by Pittsburgh in the 2003 NHL Draft.

Fleury was left unprotected by the Penguins ahead of Wednesday's NHL expansion draft, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's an unsurprising move by the Penguins, as it's no secret that Pittsburgh has moved on from Fleury to the 23-year-old Matt Murray. The veteran netminder should be one of the most recognizable names available in the expansion draft, so it wouldn't be surprising if he's one of the names called Wednesday evening.

Fleury has agreed to waive his no-movement clause in order to allow the Penguins to expose him in the expansion draft, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Lavoie, Fleury agreed to this stipulation back in February, which likely factored into general manager Jim Rutherford's decision not to trade the Flower at the deadline. While there will be several goalies available for the Golden Knights to select, few will have the pedigree of a three-time champion with 410 combined regular season and playoff victories under his belt. It seems all but certain the Fleury era is over in Pittsburgh which was capped off by the 32-year-old passing the Stanley Cup to Matt Murray during the team's post-game celebration.
