Fleury relieved starter Matt Murray in Game 4 on Friday against Tampa Bay, turning aside all seven shots as the Pens lost 4-3.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury entered the contest at the start of the third period after Murray allowed four goals on 30 shots in the first two frames. It was the veteran's first game action since way back on March 31, as a concussion followed by a recent run of hot play by Murray has kept the Flower out of the Pens' crease. Murray has been mostly great in the postseason (9-4, .923 save percentage, 2.33 GAA), and the Penguins skaters in front of him looked pretty lifeless in Game 4, so one would think that the rookie will be afforded a little bit of rope between the pipes. Then again, Fleury is a Stanley Cup winner and Olympic gold medalist with a ton of playoff experience under his belt (99 games), so it's anybody's guess as to who head coach Mike Sullivan will appoint his starter heading into Game 5 on Sunday. Stay tuned.

Fleury still hasn't made an appearance in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Penguins coach Mike Sullivan relayed the following comment to Wes Crosby of NHL.com: "The challenge for him moving forward is that he hasn't played in an NHL game in quite some time."
EDGE Analysis
Indeed, Fleury hasn't shown up between the pipes since March 31, as he battled through a concussion injury only for rookie netminder Matt Murray to step into playoff action and not look back. There's no denying that Murray has been impressive in goal for the Pens as they continue their quest to win the Stanley Cup. He's fashioned a 7-3-0 record and 2.15 GAA, moving the Pens past the Rangers and Capitals to reach the conference finals. However, Murray did end up with a loss to the Lightning in Friday's Game 1 -- surrendering three goals on 20 shots -- leaving hockey fans wondering if Fleury will get an opportunity to play. After all, Fleury hoisted the Stanley Cup trophy with the Penguins back in 2009, and has been involved in postseason play with the team for the last nine seasons. It's anyone's guess where the team goes from here.

Fleury (concussion) will serve as backup to Matt Murray on Monday in Game 3 against Washington, Arpon Basu of LNH.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Fleury is dressed for Game 3 and available to play suggests that he's finally recovered from his concussion, but coach Mike Sullivan apparently still doesn't have complete trust in Fleury's ability to play at full strength. Monday will be the first time that Fleury has been active since March.

Fleury (concussion) remains day-to-day but "is making significant progress," according to head coach Mike Sullivan.
EDGE Analysis
Matt Murray will be in goal for the Penguins on Monday night, but Fleury was able to take shots at Monday's morning skate, so it would be appear he is not far off from being able to resume game action. Whether he or Murray will be the primary goaltender when both are healthy remains to be seen.

Fleury (concussion) told reporters he is still experiencing post-concussion symptoms.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury has been skating with the team and even faced shots during Monday's optional practice but the lingering nature of his second concussion of the season puts into doubt his return. As long as he is sidelined, the Pens will look to rookie Matt Murray who made his playoff debut this season. If Fleury can get healthy, he remains the team's starting netminder, although the longer he is out, the tougher the decision will be on coach Mike Sullivan to pull the red-hot Murray.

Fleury (concussion) has not skated for the past two days according to coach Mike Sullivan, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lack of ice time for Fleury seems to indicate he suffered a setback, despite Sullivan insisting the netminder remains day-to-day. The Pens have given over the reigns to rookie Matt Murray with the 29-year-old sidelined. After participating in practice prior to Game 1, fantasy owners and fans alike should be concerned regarding Fleury's availability down the stretch, although if he gets healthy, look for him to retake his spot in the cage.

Fleury (concussion) will not suit up for Tuesday's playoff contest with New York, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury will sit out his eighth consecutive contest as he works his way back from his second concussion of the season. It is unclear whether or not the 31-year-old has been near returning all last week or if coach Mike Sullivan is just trying to keep the Rangers guessing. Jeff Zatkoff is the likely replacement, although Sullivan did tell reporters that Matt Murray (head) is available for Game 3. In terms of fantasy options, it is a fluid situation in net until such time as Fleury is cleared to return and can reclaim the starting goal full time.

Fleury (concussion) won't dress for Game 2 against the Rangers on Saturday, TSN's Frank Seravalli reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury has participated in practice three times since Wednesday, which is a promising sign as the No. 1 goalie hasn't hit game ice since March 31. However, the Pens decided Fleury was not quite ready to return to action as the team took warmups Saturday. Jeff Zatkoff, winner of Game 1 in this series, will protect the crease with Tristan Jarry serving as the backup.

Fleury (concussion) was on the ice for practice Friday morning.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury's now taken to the ice for morning skate twice since Wednesday, which is a bright sign for the Pens as they hope to advance their series lead against the Rangers to 2-0 after Saturday's contest. Penguins coach Mike Sullivan has yet to name a starting goalie for that contest, but it appears that Fleury is on the upswing in his recovery.

Fleury (concussion) won't dress for Wednesday's Game 1 against the Rangers, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fleury was in the starter's goal in Wednesday's morning skate, but evidently still isn't quite ready to return to game action. Jeff Zatkoff will get the start in goal Wednesday in Fleury's absence, who will hope to return to Pittsburgh's lineup Saturday for Game 2 of the Penguins' first-round matchup with the Rangers.
