Bergeron has cleared waivers and is slated to remain with AHL Cleveland for now, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bergeron, who last saw NHL action in 2012-13, has recorded three goals and nine points in 13 AHL games to date. Given that the 36-year-old blueliner still brings some offensive skills to the table, he could earn a call-up down the stretch. In such a scenario, the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder would need to see some power play ice time in order to resurface as a fantasy option.

Bergeron signed a two-way contract for the remainder of the season with Columbus on Tuesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
After spending the last three campaigns playing in Switzerland's National League A, Bergeron returned to North America for 2016-17 and has scored nine points in 13 games for the AHL's Cleveland Monsters. The 36-year-old defenseman has a highly-specialized skillset as an offensive defenseman, producing 0.48 points per game in his 490-game NHL career. That being said, Bergeron is too often a liability in his own zone, which has limited his opportunities in the league. Bergeron will have to clear waivers to activate the contract, upon which he'll be eligible to be called-up by Columbus.

Marc-Andre Bergeron has signed a three-year deal with the Swiss League's ZSC Lions. Bergeron is terrific with the man advantage, but he struggled to get regular ice time at the NHL level. He still managed to score 82 goals and 235 points in 490 games with the Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Carolina Hurricanes. Given the length of this deal, it's entirely possible that the 32-year-old blueliner has played in his last NHL game.

Marc-Andre Bergeron, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July, may return to Carolina if his salary expectations are reasonable. Canes GM Jim Rutherford, who acquired Bergeron from Tampa in March, would like to have him back. Bergeron had a calming influence on the Hurricane power play and as long as his contract demands are modest, his chances of playing in Carolina are pretty good. That said, it will be a late signing if he returns. Bergeron, along with fellow UFAs Dan Ellis and Joe Corvo are expected to test the free agent market, at least initially.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have traded Marc-Andre Bergeron to the Carolina Hurricanes for a seventh round pick and Adam Hall. Bergeron has a goal and five points in 12 games this season. Those numbers might not be particularly impressive, but Bergeron is great with the man advantage and the Hurricanes are last in the NHL when it comes to power-play percentage. With that in mind, Bergeron might play often enough with Carolina to justify picking up in standard leagues.

Marc-Andre Bergeron will once again sit in the press box Saturday night. A game against Montreal might have been a treat for Bergeron, but he will not get the chance to suit up. Adam Hall and Brendan Mikkelson will also be healthy scratches.

Marc-Andre Bergeron played consecutive games for the first time this season following Tuesday's contest. He served as a healthy scratch 10 times in the first 14 games and has been the subject of trade rumors. Bergeron had an assist on the winning goal Saturday against Florida, but his ice time dropped back against Toronto on Tuesday.

Marc-Andre Bergeron played for just the second time since January 25th in Saturday's contest against the Panthers. Bergeron, who was once a pretty fair offensive rearguard on the power play no longer has any fantasy value.

It appears as if Marc-Andre Bergeron has a permanent seat in the Lightning press box this season. He is not playing much and will not play Saturday against the Bruins. Bergeron, who was once a pretty fair offensive rearguard no longer has any fantasy value. If you drafted him, drop him immediately.

Marc-Andre Bergeron was a healthy scratch Friday night. The veteran rearguard has only played in two games this season and seems to be regarded as the Bolts' seventh defenseman. Bergeron has long ceased to be fantasy relevant.
