Subban has performed well in his previous two starts (both wins with a 1.50 GAA), but he isn't going to be taking any starts away from Marc-Andre Fleury, who leads the league in wins (25) and shutouts (six). As such, even if he isn't healthy enough to suit up versus San Jose on Thursday, Subban wasn't going to be missing a start and the team figures to bring somebody up from AHL Chicago to serve as the backup.

Subban turned aside 36 of 38 shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Devils.

The 25-year-old has won two straight starts and given up only four goals total in his last three, dragging his GAA below 3.00 for the first time since Halloween. He's a strong backup option, but his fantasy value suffers with Fleury taking a large percentage of the workload.

Anze Kopitar got a puck past him in the dying seconds of the first period, but Subban didn't get rattled and locked things down after that, looking sharp and poised whenever the Kings generated some pressure. The 25-year-old has allowed a single goal in each of his last two starts, and while Marc-Andre Fleury is entrenched as the No. 1 netminder in Vegas, Subban -- a first-round pick for the Bruins back in 2012 -- has an opportunity to establish himself as the Knights' goalie of the future if he keeps stacking strong outings.

Subban will tend the twine in Saturday's road game versus the Kings, Ben Gotz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Subban's last game was promising, as he steered away 30 of 31 shots but was still pegged with the loss. His season-long stat line of an .881 save percentage and 3.49 GAA in six outings is less flattering, but a matchup with the Kings can help turn that around. Los Angeles ranks last in the league with 2.29 goals per game and 25th with a 15.1 penalty-kill percentage.

Subban will be the road goalie versus the Blue Jackets on Monday, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

EDGE Analysis

Marc-Andre Fleury is getting the rare night off after starting on Sunday. This will be Subban's first action since November 19, when he allowed seven goals to the Flames. Overall, he has a 4.03 GAA and .859 save percentage in five outings this season.

Fantasy owners who invested heavily in the Golden Knights coming off their trip to the Stanley Cup Finals have been largely disappointed thus far with the team off to a 1-4-0 start.
