Luca Caputi has signed with HockeyAllsvenskan team Vasteras HK, which plays out of Sweden's second division. Caputi announced the news on his Twitter account over Labor Day weekend. He split time between the AHL's Norfolk Admirals and the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets last season.

Luca Caputi has been traded from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Anaheim Ducks for Nicolas Deschamps. It was a deal of non-performing players who will get a chance in a new organization as Caputi had only two goals and three points in 21 games for the AHL Marlies after playing 26 games with the Maple Leafs in 2009-10 and last season with only one goal and six points. He will likely head to Syracuse of the AHL but with the Ducks sending Jean-Francois Jacques to the minors today, he could get a shot on the fourth line with the big club. He'll have no fantasy value.
