The veteran blueliner has yet to suit up this season, but sounds like a safe bet to make his season debut Tuesday. He finished 2013-14 with three goals and eight assists in 24 games, and has been battling through injuries quite often over the last few years.

Visnovsky (back) practiced with the team for the first time in nearly two weeks Thursday, according to Newsday. Visnovsky also stated that is back if full healed and it's just a matter of him getting into playing condition before he plays in a game. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, Visnovsky should play for the Islanders at some point early next week.

He's dealing with his second concussion since the beginning of the campaign.

The upper body injury to Lubomir Visnovsky is a recurrence of his concussion woes. Visnovsky suffered a concussion in October and it was thought at the time that he would be out for the remainder of the season but he returned in February. There is no timetable for his return and with only three weeks left in the season and the Islanders going nowhere, the team could just shut him down for remainder of the season.
