Kukkonen has been out of the NHL since 2008-09, when he was with the Flyers. In his four-year NHL career, the blueliner appeared in 159 games for Chicago and Philadelphia, in which he notched six goals, 16 helpers and 90 PIM while averaging 15:33 of ice time. After spending a few years in the KHL, the 38-year-old closed out his career with Karpat, the club he started with as a youngster.
