Manson was recalled from AHL Norfolk on Monday.With Sami Vatanen exiting Sunday's game with a lower-body injury, Manson appears to be on track to take over on the blueline should he miss any time. Manson has spent 18 games with the NHL team this season, and has tallied nine points in 23 games with AHL Norfolk.

Manson was reassigned to AHL Norfolk on Thursday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Manson's return to the minors signals that Ben Lovejoy (broken finger) will be activated from IR in advance of Friday's game against the Oilers. The 23-year-old son of former NHL blueliner Dave Manson recorded one point and 25 penalty minutes over 18 games with the Ducks.
