He also produced five goals, six assists and 77 hits over that span. While fantasy owners won't be champing at the bit waiting for the chance to draft Archibald, you might be able to catch lightning in a bottle with him in select DFS contests throughout the season.

After spending his first two full seasons in Pittsburgh, Archibald was able to make the most of his time in the desert playing in 39 of the last 46 games of the season, and broke the double-digit point mark for the first time in his career. However, the 25-year-old was primarily used in a defensive role after being traded which certainly hurt his point production, evidenced as he just received 45.6 percent of his starts in the offensive zone, but was still able to pitch in 1.97 hits per game. Archibald will return for the final year of his contract, and although it seems unlikely he'll crack into the top-six forward group, a strong training camp could push him over the edge as Arizona isn't extremely deep at the position.

This was Archie's fifth goal and 10th point of the season. At first glance, that doesn't seem like a tangible rate of production for the feisty competitor, but it looks much better when you consider that he's only appeared in 36 games between the Penguins and Coyotes. At any rate, he's probably toiling on the waiver wire in your fantasy league for the simple fact that he's cemented in a bottom-six role for Arizona.

Archibald recorded an assist and a shot through 10:59 of ice time during Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Winnipeg.

EDGE Analysis

The 25-year-old winger now has a respectable three goals and five points through his past 12 contests, but he's also been a healthy scratch for three games during that span. Additionally, Archibald is locked into a depth role and doesn't project to receive offensive minutes moving forward. As a result, his fantasy value will likely remain limited.

Archibald was assessed a game misconduct penalty for getting in a fight with Nathan McKinnon in a 6-2 loss to Colorado.

EDGE Analysis

Well, that's one way to make an impression for your new team. Archibald did contribute significant PIMs by posting 15 in the category, but most owners probably didn't benefit because that's his first contribution in any fantasy category this season. Odds are he'll have opportunities in Arizona, but he's not someone who belongs on a roster right now, given that he has just three points for his entire 15-game NHL career.

The Penguins traded Archibald, Sean Maguire and a 2019 sixth-round pick in exchange for Michael Leighton and a 2019 fourth-round pick Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Archibald has appeared in 14 games with the Penguins since he was drafted by Pittsburgh in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, potting three goals over that span. Arizona already has a plethora of young talent up front, so it remains to be seen if Archibald will have a regular role with the Coyotes going forward, or if he'll spend most of his time with their AHL affiliate.
