Archibald made his first appearance for the Penguins since Nov. 22 in Monday's clash with Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Archibald was playing in just his third game of the year, having found himself firmly cemented in the healthy scratch role. The team did send him down to the minors briefly as part of a conditioning stint, but still has found himself relegated to the press box more often than not. Injuries will likely determine whether the winger gets a long-term look in the lineup, but fantasy owners probably shouldn't be banking on Archibald logging significant minutes moving forward.

Archibald has returned to Pittsburgh following a conditioning stint in the minors, per Josh Getzoff of Pens TV.
EDGE Analysis
Archibald has played in just two games for the Penguins this season in which he tallied a mere one shot on goal, seven hits and a blocked shot. The infrequency with which the winger has gotten onto the ice likely means he will get periodic stints in the minors throughout the rest of the year.

Archibald was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for a conditioning assignment Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Archibald has played in just two games this season, it shouldn't come as a surprise the team opted to send him to the minors for some game action. Reading between the lines, the team's willingness to go without the 28-year-old versus the Sabres on Friday probably indicates Evgeni Malkin (upper body) will return to the lineup since the move would otherwise leave Pittsburgh without any emergency forward depth -- although Geno is still officially a game-time decision.

Archibald joined the Penguins lineup for the first time this year in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
After a 7-1 defeat at the hands of the Jets, coach Mike Sullivan jumbled up the lines -- including swapping Archibald for Carl Hagelin. Against the Oilers, the 24-year-old Archibald tallied one shot on goal, two hits and one blocked shots in 10:51 of ice time. Considering Hagelin is carrying a $4 million cap hit, its hard to imagine team brass want him sitting out long-term, which could limit Archibald's opportunities.

Aston-Reese will be in training camp with the Penguins in pursuit of a roster spot this fall, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The center prospect turned heads as a senior with Northeastern University last season, as he notched 63 points (31 goals, 32 assists) in 38 games to lead the NCAA and earn AHCA East First-Team All-American honors. Soon to be 23 years old, Aston-Reese also sampled the AHL, with the power forward having muscled his way to three goals and five helpers over 10 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Presumably, he'll compete for a roster spot with the likes of Josh Archibald and Dominik Simon, albeit without much fantasy appeal this early in his career

Archibald agreed to terms on a two-year, one-way contract with Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Despite playing in just 10 regular-season contests -- plus four postseason appearances -- Archibald will see his name engraved on Lord Stanley's Cup as he suited up for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. In those 14 outings, the winger averaged 10:00 of ice time and registered three goals, 15 shots and 37 hits. When the 29-year-old is in the lineup this upcoming season, it will likely be on the fourth line where he can use his speed and physicality while spelling Pittsburgh's stars.

Archibald received a qualifying offer from Pittsburgh on Monday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archibald played in just 10 regular-season games in 2016-17, but his name will be etched into Lord Stanley's Cup after he suited up for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Held off the scoresheet in the playoffs, the winger recorded three goals on the year. Despite his limited appearances, the organization is high on the determined 24-year-old and will probably consider locking him into a lengthier contract once other high-profile targets are re-signed.

Archibald is in the lineup Monday in Game 4 against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
The depth forward will be making his Stanley Cup Final debut after sitting out all but three of the Penguins' 19 postseason contests to date. Archibald will take over the right side of the fourth line with Conor Sheary and Carter Rowney, supplanting Scott Wilson from the lineup while Nick Bonino remains out with a lower-body injury.

Archibald was sent down to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Archibald racked up 29 points in 61 outings with the Baby Pens earlier in the year and should provide a much needed scoring boost for their Game 1 matchup with AHL Providence on Friday. Once Pittsburgh knows its second-round schedule, the 24-year-old will almost certainly be called up to provide additional roster depth, but for now will get a chance to get back into a game, something he hasn't been able to do since the regular season finale April 9.

Archibald was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archibald makes a quick return the big club after Chris Kunitz (lower body) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hurricanes. Assuming none of the other three injured Penguins are able to go Sunday, Archibald will likely find himself on Pittsburgh's fourth line.
