Eberle (upper body) is participating in the optional skate for the Islanders on Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle had to leave the game early Tuesday due to the injury and was considered day to day heading into the contest Thursday in Montreal. While participating in the morning skate is by no means a guarantee that he will play Thursday, it certainly is a good sign. Eberle has been a disappointment this season with the Islanders and likely won't garner much interest from the team when he hits free agency this summer.

Eberle is dealing with an upper-body issue and is considered day-to-day.
EDGE Analysis
While the team didn't officially rule him out, Eberle's status for Thursday's clash with Montreal should probably be considered questionable at best. If the winger does in fact miss some time, Michael Dal Colle could slot into a top-six role. At this point, the 28-year-old Eberle will be hard pressed to reach the 40-point threshold and would miss that mark for the first time since the lockout shortened 2012-13 campaign.

Eberle scored an even-strength goal in 15:54 of ice time in Sunday's 3-2 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle has been ice cold in his past nine games, recording just one point in that span. The 28-year-old has produced his lowest point total in his career to date, 31, in 68 games. The goal was his first since Feb. 9, so it's hard to trust Eberle's fantasy prospects going forward.

Eberle delivered two assists in a 6-1 win over the Maple Leafs on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle's offense has been dry of late -- he has no goals in nine games and just four assists. Half of those came Thursday. Eberle has 30 points in 59 games. That's a pace that will compare to the lowest of his career. Eberle needs to be on your bench until he can pull a few more points out of his hat.

Eberle doesn't believe he will be moved by the trade deadline on Feb. 25, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle believes because the Islanders are in first place in the Metropolitan Division, that the team is unlikely to trade him or his linemates (Anders Lee and Brock Nelson) despite the fact they will be unrestricted free agents after the season. Eberle probably has a point, but if not for the team being in contention, Eberle may almost certainly be on the move as he has had a disappointing season with only 13 goals and 26 points in 54 games. One thing to keep in mind is that the Islanders are looking for an upgrade on offense, and if they were to acquire one, Eberle or Nelson could be demoted to the third-line or even be a healthy scratch on occasion.

Eberle recorded a power-play goal, an assist and a team-high four shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle's enjoying a nice stretch, having racked up five goals and five assists in his past 11 games. This hot streak has been a long time coming for Edmonton's 2008 first-rounder, who's only on pace to finish around the 40-point mark after posting 59 points in his first season with New York.

The Islanders activated Eberle (undisclosed) off injured reserve Friday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle resumed skating Thursday and returned to practice Friday, so it's no surprise that he appears poised to rejoin the lineup Saturday against St. Louis. The 28-year-old winger should return to his role skating on the Islanders' first line and top power-play unit against the Blues.

Eberle (undisclosed) skated in advance of Saturday's game against the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
More details should surface before pregame warmups. Coach Barry Trotz said the team is waiting on official clearance from team doctors to get Eberle back in the lineup. The veteran forward needs to enjoy a strong second half to avoid missing the 20-goal plateau for the first time in six years.

Eberle (undisclosed) will not play versus the Blackhawks on Thursday, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle took to the ice for an optional skate Thursday morning, but all signs point to him sticking on injured reserve for the time being. The veteran forward's next chance to play will now arrive Saturday for a road game against the Blues.

Eberle (undisclosed) is on the ice for an optional team skate Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eberle is on IR but has been deemed day to day as far as his availability to play Thursday versus the Blackhawks. On the season Eberle has seven goals and 17 points in 35 games, but also has a rating of minus-11. More was expected of Eberle in a contract year. When Eberle does return he will likely be reunited with Anders Lee and Brock Nelson on the top line for the Islanders.
