Racine was not extended a qualifying offer Monday by the Lightning and will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
EDGE Analysis
Racine has appeared in just one career NHL game with the Panthers back in 2013 and has since seen stints in the AHL for both the Rampage and Pirates. Racine was traded to Tampa Bay back in January, but he will now be on the open market once NHL free agency begins on July 1st.

Racine and a 2017 sixth round draft pick were traded to Tampa Bay in exchange for Nikita Nesterov on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay marks the third franchise that Racine has been a part of since he was drafted by the Panthers in the third round of 2011's draft. He's garnered the reputation being a stay-at-home defenseman, considering he has only three points this year and has yet to top 10 points in any AHL season. Look for the Lightning to call him up should they run into defensive trouble on their blue line.

The Panthers traded Racine to the Canadiens in exchange for Tim Bozon on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Racine was a decent contributor from the blue line for AHL Portland last season, notching nine points (one goal, eight assists) with a plus-8 rating over 69 games. He'll likely spend the majority of the 2016-17 campaign with the Habs' AHL affiliate, but could spend some time with the big club if and when the Canadiens' defensive corps is bitten by the injury bug.

The Panthers waived Racine on Saturday, Harvey Fialkov of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cats made a series of roster moves Saturday, so Racine being cut should be considered typical housekeeping. Assuming he clears waivers, the 23-year-old defender will head to AHL Springfield.

Racine re-signed with Florida on a one-year deal Saturday, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Racine has appeared in just on NHL game in his career, during the 2013-14 season, in which he logged 15:35 of ice time and spent two minutes in the penalty box. The defender has consistently racked up more PIM than points throughout his career in the minors, so unless that is a big area of need, fantasy owners will likely want to pass on the 23-year-old even if he can crack the lineup.

Racine was reassigned to AHL San Antonio on Saturday.
Racine was recalled just hours earlier after it was revealed Aaron Ekblad was dealing with the stomach flu. Though Racine will head back to the minors prior to Saturday's game, there's no guarantee that Ekblad will play, as the Panthers still have an extra defenseman on hand in Steve Kampfer as insurance. Instead, it appears Racine's demotion will pave the way for the return of blueliner Willie Mitchell (illness), who was activated from IR in a corresponding move.

Racine was recalled from AHL San Antonio on Saturday, Jameson Olive of FOX Sports Florida reports.
With Aaron Ekblad (illness) a game-time decision for Saturday's showdown with the Islanders, Racine was recalled as an insurance option on the blue line. He's shown limited scoring ability at the AHL level and would strictly represent a short-term fill-in for the Panthers.
