Facing the Canucks should be a good way to right the ship, though, as Vancouver is 27th in the league in goals per game (2.5) and 28th in the league in power-play percentage (14.1). It's beneficial to fantasy owners when Quick faces a high volume of shots, but walking away with a win trumps other stats, and Tuesday looks like a great opportunity to do just that.

Quick blew a lead, allowing two goals on 33 shots in a 2-1 loss against the Sharks on Sunday.

The Kings entered the third period with a narrow 1-0 lead, but the Sharks beat Quick twice on 14 shots in the final stanza. It's too bad Quick took the loss, but it was certainly encouraging to see him get back on track of sorts. In his last four games prior to Sunday, he had allowed at least three goals in each contest. Despite the mini slump, though, Quick has outstanding numbers in the early going this season - 9-4-1, .933 save percentage and 2.27 GAA.

This will be Quick's third straight start, but he's struggled in his last two outings allowing eight combined goals and notching a disappointing .889 save percentages in the contests. However San Jose ranks a mere 22nd in the NHL for goals scored per game with 2.73, so this will be an opportunity for the 31-year-old to get back on track.

Although it was the most goals Quick has given up this season, he actually played quite well in the loss and it's hard to fault him against a red-hot Lightning squad. The veteran netminder owns an excellent 9-3-1 record on the season with a .932 save percentage, so make sure you keep him rolling. Quick is showing once again this season why he's one of the most reliable fantasy netminders around.

One of the league's best tenders, Quick has now skated away with wins in nine of 12 games this season, and his peripheral numbers (2.06 GAA, .937 save percentage) are quite robust. The Kings next play Thursday for a home tilt against the Lightning.

Quick was the first goalie off the ice and all signs are pointing to him being the road starter against the Ducks on Tuesday, Jon Rosen of Fox Sports West reports.

Rosen has said in the past the Kings don't explicitly confirm goalies, so this is about as close to confirmation as we are going to get. Quick has been stellar this year, as he as a 1.99 GAA and a .939 save percentage.
