Jonas Holos has left the Colorado organization and will likely sign in Europe. Holos was sent down to Lake Erie of the AHL at the end of training camp but wants to play in Europe if he is not in the NHL. We wonder if we are seeing the last of Holos in North America.

Jonas Holos has asked the Colorado Avalanche to release him. Holos, who is playing for their AHL affiliate in Lake Erie, would like to return to Europe. He tried to crack the Avalanche's lineup out of training camp, but he was not included on the team's opening game roster. He had six assists in 39 NHL contests last season and another six assists in 17 AHL games. Colorado originally selected him in the sixth round of the 2008 NHL entry draft.

Jonas Holos is expected to start the season with AHL Lake Erie. Holos was removed from Colorado's training camp roster on Monday. He had six assists in 39 games with the Colorado Avalanche in 2010-11.
