Jon Matsumoto will spend the 2014-15 campaign in Germany. Matsumoto had six goals and 11 points in 29 games with the AHL San Antonio Rampage in 2013-14. The 27-year-old forward has two goals in 14 career NHL contests.

Florida has placed Jonathan Matsumoto on waivers with the intention of sending him to the minors. The Panthers also waived Michael Caruso, Scott Timmins and Greg Rallo. If they clear then they'll head to AHL as well.
