Mitchell (oblique) won't suit up for Tuesday's game against the Flyers, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell will miss a fourth straight game Tuesday against Philadelphia with an oblique injury he likely suffered on Nov. 1 against the Sharks. The 30-year-old forward's next chance to draw back into Colorado's lineup will come Thursday against the Bruins, but considering the injury has lingered for over a week now, there's no guarantee Mitchell will be ready to return to action in that contest.

Mitchell failed to log a point in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell made plenty of noise by scoring in his first four games this season but has since gone ice cold offensively as the owner of a seven-game pointless streak. With the Avs planting Mitchell on a bottom line, he will be hard-pressed to claim fantasy value outside of deep leagues, though he does help his own team with special teams based on a 2:04 TOI average on the penalty kill and 2:07 on the man advantage.

With a goal in Saturday's 6-3 win over Dallas, Mitchell has now scored in each of the Avs' first two games of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell has scored 11, 11 and 10 goals over each of the past three seasons, so he's certainly off to a quick start. The Avs offense has been hot coming out of the gates, scoring eight goals through two games. Mitchell, however, is not considered a focal point on offense so don't expect this kind of production to continue for long.

Mitchell made a nice play scoring off his own rebound in Thursday's loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell sent Erik Johnson's pass towards Devan Dubnyk, who made the initial save before, but couldn't stop the second effort. The veteran fourth liner saw a boost in playing time with youngsters Mikko Rantanen and Borna Rendulic riding the pine. Mitchell isn't going to set the world on fire, but offers decent production in the bottom six.

Mitchell dished out an assist in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Sharks. Mitchell's assist was of the power play variety, giving the forward an assist, a power-play point, five hits and skated to a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's loss to San Jose. The assist is Mitchell's third point in the last four games, however, the forward's overall production in the stat sheet has been limited despite an increase in ice time over the past couple of weeks.

Mitchell tallied a goal in Saturday's win over the Sabres, marking the second straight game he's found twine. Mitchell has been seeing more frequent top-six minutes of late, making him a bit more interesting in the fantasy realm. However, until he maintains the level of production he's shown over the last two games for a longer period of time, Mitchell probably won't notice a massive surge in his ownership rates.

Mitchell scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's triumph over the Flames. Usually deployed on the Avs' second or third line, Mitchell typically hasn't been an overwhelming source of offense, but certainly game through Saturday. He's a decent all-around player (21 points, 115 hits, 30 PIM, and a minus-8 rating over 55 games), though he's doesn't stand out in any one category to increase his value in the fantasy realm.

Mitchell captured an assist in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers. The Avs' third-line center has been a functional depth forward with six goals and 17 points in 41 games, but those outputs probably won't impress most fantasy owners. Things don't seem to be trending in a positive direction for Mitchell, either, as the assist marked his first point in five games.
