Eriksson Ek did not have a shot on goal in Thursday's loss at Colorado. He was on the ice for just two shot attempts while Colorado had 17 shot attempts while he was on the ice, TheAthletic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The third line with Eriksson Ek, Charlie Coyle and Jordan Greenway struggled Thursday as they generated almost no offense and were poor on the defensive end. Eriksson Ek also didn't get any power play ice time. Eriksson Ek at 21 still has plenty of time to develop into a difference maker, but a breakout doesn't look imminent after just one game.

Eriksson Ek scored a power-play goal in Monday's 5-3 preseason loss to the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
It was the 21-year-old's first goal of the preseason. Eriksson Ek is expected to shoulder a bigger workload in his second full NHL season, but he's unlikely to see a significant role with the man advantage or in key offensive situations with Eric Staal and Mikko Koivu still ahead of him on the Wild depth chart.

Eriksson Ek was dealing with a minor injury during the playoffs.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Bruce Boudreau clarified that whatever was bothering Eriksson Ek wouldn't require surgery, but did prevent him from taking faceoffs. Considering the center was playing through his issue -- likely hand/arm related -- he should be ready to go for training camp this fall. The Swede had a decent rookie campaign, as he tallied six goals and 10 helpers in 75 appearances and should provide decent mid-range fantasy value heading into 2018-19.

Eriksson Ek scored his second goal of the season, and first since the first game of the season, in Monday's win at the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Eriksson Ek has just one goal and three assists in his last 12 games despite averaging 13:21 of ice time. He's stayed in the lineup thanks to his forechecking and penalty-kill skills. At just 21, he still has time to grow on offense.

Eriksson Ek was recalled from AHL Iowa on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Eriksson Ek's demotion was short lived, only lasting through All-Star weekend. The 2015 first-round pick has struggled mightily this season, posting just a single goal and seven points through 42 contests in Minnesota. While the young Swede certainly has offensive upside, currently he doesn't provide much in a fantasy setting.

The Wild assigned Eriksson Ek to AHL Iowa on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Eriksson Ek will head to Minnesota's minor-league affiliate to continue playing during the NHL's upcoming all-star break, but he'll likely be recalled by the big club ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Columbus. The 20-year-old forward has totaled one goal and seven points in 41 games with the Wild this season.

Eriksson Ek had a shot on goal, two hits and skated two minutes on the penalty kill in Wednesday's win over Dallas. Although he didn't score, head coach Bruce Boudreau praised his performance, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "He's going to start scoring. It might not be this year. I don't mean that facetiously, but you can see he's going to be a real good player, and that's why he keeps playing," Boudreau said.
EDGE Analysis
Eriksson Ek has just two assists in his last ten games since being recalled from AHL Iowa. He does have 20 hits and is plus-1 while averaging 13:03 of ice time over that span. While he's drawn praise, he could lose ice time once Zach Parise returns from injury early next month.

Eriksson Ek was promoted from AHL Iowa on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Eriksson Ek has probably worn through at least one set of tires travelling back and forth between clubs. Whether the youngster actually cracks the lineup versus the Ducks on Friday remains to be seen, but at a minimum, he will provide some emergency forward depth during the rest of team's California trip.

Eriksson Ek was reassigned to the minors Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Eriksson Ek became the odd man out at center after Charlie Coyle (leg) returned to the Wild lineup. In order to earn his way back up to Minnesota, the youngster will likely need to move over to the wing as the four current players down the middle seem firmly entrenched in their roles. Additionally, the Swede's 12-game point drought likely factored into the decision to demote him.

Eriksson Ek had four shots on goal but did not score in Saturday's win over Philadelphia. He hasn't scored a goal since Oct. 5 and has just one assist in his last 13 games. "Inconsistencies are very common with first-year players, young guys. I thought the last two games [before Saturday], he's played extremely well," head coach Bruce Boudreau told TheAthletic.com. "And I thought he was probably our best forechecking forward in Boston too. So maybe he's back on an upswing. That's what we're hoping."
EDGE Analysis
Despite Boudreau's endorsement, Eriksson Ek could find himself in the minors if his slump continues. He's also dead last in the NHL in faceoff win percentage at .297, according to TheAthletic, which will hurt his ice time.
