Vesey scored a goal and pitched in two helpers in a 5-0 win over the Blues on Tuesday. He also skated to a plus-2.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old rookie is making quite a name a name for himself in the early part of the season, as he's now rattled off five goals in the last six games for a total of nine points in 10 contests. Vesey spent four full seasons playing for Harvard University and really took off in his junior and senior years with a combined 104 points over 70 games, and it appears that success is translating to the NHL level.

Vesey collected his sixth goal of the season Sunday, helping the Rangers to a 6-1 home win over the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Despite winning the 2016 Hobey Baker Award for his hockey excellence as a Harvard senior, the verdict was out on whether Vesey would be able to make an immediate impact in the NHL, especially since he skipped the AHL level entirely. Well, we'd say the Boston native is doing just fine, as Vesey and Michael Grabner each have five goals and an assist to lead the rest of the Blueshirts in points through nine games.

Vesey picked up a power-play assist and scored the final goal of Wednesday's 5-2 win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
He set new season highs in ice time (17:39 -- his fourth straight game over 17 minutes) and power-play time (5:46) in this one, and the impressive rookie continued his strong start in the NHL. With four goals and an assist through seven games, he's offering solid fantasy value already, and there should be plenty more to come for Vesey, who's rapidly become an integral part of the Rangers' newly fast-paced offensive attack.

Vesey scored scored the tying and go-ahead goals three minutes apart in the second period of Saturday's 4-2 win over the Capitals on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
The first goal was a sweet wrister on a nice feed from Rick Nash while on the power play. The second was a nifty backhander from in close. Vesey sees the game well and has the skills and smarts to make him a dangerous player.

Vesey scored the first goal of his career in Monday night's 7-4 win over San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
Just 21 seconds after Kevin Hayes gave the Rangers a 4-2 lead, Vesey stretched it to 5-2 by getting to a high-quality spot in front of the net and firing home a pass from Derek Stepan. He could have had two in this one, as Rich Nash set him up with a gorgeous backhand pass earlier in the game, but Martin Jones made a great save. After two scoreless games and just one shot, this was Vesey's finest night yet in the NHL, but the best is yet to come.

Vesey will make his NHL debut in Thursday's season opener against the Islanders on the top line alongside Derek Stepan and Mats Zuccarello.
EDGE Analysis
His Opening Night roster spot was never really in question, but a top-line assignment has to come as a bit of a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners who took the plunge weeks ago. Vesey came along quickly in training camp and was fortunate to escape uninjured from a dangerous hit in preseason action last week; now we'll see how he looks when the games start counting. As a 23-year-old who racked up a ridiculous 104 points in 70 games over his last two college seasons, Vesey has tremendous offensive upside.

Vesey was checked into the boards from behind by Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas in the first period of Monday's preseason game. Fortunately, the rookie was able to continue playing, and he ultimately finished with a power-play goal in 15:10 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Vesey was hit near his shoulders and neck area and laid motionless on the ice while Dylan McIllrath and more of his teammates immediately rushed to his defense. Gudas, who got ejected for his game misconduct penalty, is expected to get a phone call from the league about the illegal hit. There's plenty of hype surrounding the 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner, so it will be interesting to see how well he adjusts to the fast-paced nature of the NHL game -- so far, so good.

Vesey was held off the board but did fire three shots on goal in his Rangers preseason debut Thursday against the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Vesey looked fantastic in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament earlier this month, recording five goals and two assists. The 2014-15 Hobey Baker Award winner inked an entry-level deal with the Rangers in August, and his success at Harvard suggests the 23-year-old winger is going to be in contention to crack the roster from the get-go. His 32 goals in 37 college games last season suggest Vesey possesses some serious offensive talent, but it remains to be seen whether he can translate that to NHL success.

Vesey will return to Harvard for his senior season instead of signing with the Predators, NHL.com's Robby Stanley reports. The Hobey Baker finalist has decided that earning a degree from Harvard University, as well as spending another year developing his game, will be more beneficial for his professional future than signing with the Predators this offseason. He had a phenomenal season with Harvard in 2014-15, tallying 32 goals and 26 assists for a total of 58 points in 37 games. Vesey will have a decision to make after completing his senior season at Harvard, as he could decide to sign an entry-level deal with Nashville, or wait and become a free agent.
