Vesey snapped a 14-game goal drought with the game winner Saturday against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Vesey hit the rookie wall earlier this year -- he's now skated in 71 games after playing 70 over the course of two full seasons at Harvard. His game will recover, but not until next season. Expect Vesey to deliver sparse production until season's end.

Vesey has gone 13 games without a goal and is currently mired in an eight-game point drought.
EDGE Analysis
There's not a complicated formula behind this: Vesey is mostly seeing fourth-line minutes, and the Harvard product's occasional samples of significant power-play time haven't paid off. The 23-year-old (for the next 10 days, anyway) winger still has plenty of long-term appeal, but it seems clear that he'll needs to add some strength in the offseason in an effort to secure a top-six role next year.

Vesey scored a goal in Monday's win over the Jackets, during which he started on the fourth line and was moved to the second trio in the second period, the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
He still skated just 10:11 -- his lowest ice time in nearly a month. Vesey has just a pair of goals and a minus-9 rating over his past 17 games, and he has just 19 shots in that span. The 23-year-old got off to a solid start offensively, but he's obviously fallen off considerably. His fantasy value is generally confined to keeper formats.

Vesey skated only 6:18 in Tuesday's loss to Dallas, marking a new season low. He didn't take a shot on goal for the third consecutive game and finished minus-2.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie winger's only been under 10 minutes three times this year, and two of those have been in the last two games. Someone's usage had to take a hit with the Rangers getting Rick Nash, Pavel Buchnevich and Mika Zibanejad back from injury, and Vesey's apparently the guy. Following a strong start to his career in October and early November, he now has just nine points and a minus-12 rating over his last 32 games. He's still got about as much upside as any young player around, but fantasy owners shouldn't count on getting too much out of Vesey down the stretch this season. The 23-year-old's two-way contract may even result in him getting sent down to AHL Hartford so he has the opportunity to play bigger minutes.

Vesey (upper body) will be available for Friday evening's matchup with the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Vesey has been a solid contributor for the Rangers this season, tallying 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 27 games. New York held an optional morning skate Friday and didn't run line rushes, so it isn't clear where Vesey will slot into the lineup against the Blackhawks, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him slide right back into the Rangers' top-six forward group in his first game back from injury.

Vesey (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Friday's matchup with Chicago, Brian Hedger of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even when healthy, Vesey has been rather inconsistent this season, but is currently on the upswing with four points in his previous six contests. Two of those point came on the man advantage where the winger is averaging 2:01 of ice time per night. Highly touted coming out of college, the 23-year-old appears to have lived up to expectations thus far.

Vesey (upper body) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Jets, Brett Cyragalis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vesey was slashed hard on the arm in Tuesday's game against the Islanders which may have resulted in his ailment. However, the left winger was seen riding a bike Thursday without any protection on his arm which leaves optimism that his condition is improving rapidly. The Rangers will be eagerly awaiting the 23-year-old's return, which could come Friday against the Blackhawks, as the rookie has turned in 16 points -- good for eighth on the team -- over his first 27 games in the NHL.

Vesey is day-to-day due to an upper-body injury, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
He didn't seem limited in Tuesday's game, as he took four shots and scored his ninth goal of the year over 16:40 of ice time, but perhaps Vesey picked this ailment up late in the tilt. We should know more about his status for Thursday's game against Winnipeg after the Rangers' game-day morning skate.

Vesey ended his eight-game goal drought with a power-play tally late in the third period Tuesday, and it held up as the game-winner in a 3-2 victory over Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
It'd been a quiet eight-game slide for Vesey, who took only nine shots in that span and saw his ice time dwindle to just 11:00 (his third-lowest mark of the year) in Sunday's game. He rebounded in this one, though, putting three shots on net and skating nearly 15 minutes. Vesey's 14 points in 24 games represent a pretty decent start to his NHL career, but his long-term potential is far higher than that.

Vesey registered an assist during Friday's 3-2 win versus Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Vesey's hot start has begun to cool down. The 23-year-old dropped six points in nine games during October, but came back down to earth with seven in 13 contests during November. The rookie is still making his presence known in the NHL and it's unrealistic to expect the youngster to reach the box score every night. The Boston native provides nice value and should continue to see plenty of opportunities in New York's powerful attack.
