Huntington has yet to make his NHL debut, so this looks to be a depth addition for the Sharks. He was injured for most of 2024-25, drawing into just four regular-season games with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, in which he earned four points. The Sharks could turn to him as a fourth-line option if he performs well in the minors with AHL San Jose.

Huntington has never made an NHL appearance, having spent his entire professional career in the minors since turning pro back in 2019-20. At this point, the Penguins have multiple forward options that are probably ahead of the 25-year-old undrafted center, so fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting to see him play for Pittsburgh any time soon.

Huntington is a career minor leaguer, having yet to make his NHL debut after spending the last five years in the AHL. Undrafted coming out of the QMJHL, the 25-year-old put up decent numbers with AHL Hershey this past season, generating 16 goals and 17 assists in 67 regular-season outings. At this point, Huntington figures to be little more than an organizational depth piece to help the Baby Pens.

Washington released Huntington on Monday to AHL Hershey training camp.

Huntington agreed an AHL contract with the Bears back in July for the 2023-24 season. He had been attending camp with the Capitals on a tryout basis. Huntington notched nine goals and 28 points in 51 contests last campaign with AHL Milwaukee.

Huntington has yet to make his NHL debut. The 23-year-old scored 35 points in 61 games with AHL Syracuse and AHL Milwaukee last season. Expect him to fill a similar organizational depth role during the 2022-23 campaign.

The talent is there, but the road is long for this undrafted scorer out of the QMJHL. Huntington needs to show he can score, but we always worry there's a bit of fool's gold with guys who explode offensively in the overage year. And especially in the Q. Huntington's dream of the NHL is intact, but he will need more seasoning before it ever comes true.
