D'Amigo played in nine regular season games for the Sabres last season, but failed to record any points. He then went on to play the majority of the year with AHL Rochester, where he played in 31 games and finished with six goals and 13 assists. If he ends up clearing waivers, the 24-year-old will likely head back to Rochester in an attempt to work his way back to the big league.

D'Amigo's rights will be retained by the Sabres for the 2015-16 season, reports The Buffalo News. The 24-year-old forward saw limited action with the organization this past season, appearing in just 31 games with AHL Rochester and nine games with Buffalo before facial surgery forced him to sit out the rest of the season. D'Amigo has a scoring touch and speed to burn, but oftentimes lacks consistency game-to-game. But clearly the Sabres liked what they saw despite limited viewings to keep him in the organization for a little longer. He's hard-pressed to find a roster spot next year, but should be able to serve as minor league depth or an emergency call-up. His fantasy value remains limited until he becomes a regular in the NHL.

D'Amigo, who took a high stick to the mouth Saturday against the Predators, is likely out for the season after undergoing surgery. Per Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News, D'Amigo underwent facial surgery, with the winger's season almost assuredly over as a result. In nine games for the Sabres this season, D'Amigo did not record a point.

D'Amigo remains under evaluation after taking a high stick to the mouth in Saturday's loss to the Predators. The Sabres are listing D'Amigo has day-to-day for now, but should have a firmer timetable for the winger after running him through a few tests. He still has yet to be ruled out for Thursday's game against the Coyotes, though the odds of him suiting up don't appear to be overly promising.

D'Amigo (unspecified issue) won't play Monday against the Stars. With D'Amigo -- who has not scored a point in nine games with the Sabres this season -- unavailable, the team has recalled Tim Schaller in advance of Monday's contest.

D'Amigo did not participate in Monday's morning skate. There are no reports of an injury to D'Amigo, though exactly what kept him out of practice is still unknown. Regardless, D'Amigo's fantasy value is limited playing on the fourth line for the league's worst team, so his absence shouldn't affect much either way. His status for Monday's game against Dallas is questionable, and it's likely his status will be updated before puck drop.

D'Amigo played 10:36 in his first game of the season against Tampa Bay on Tuesday. It was also D'Amigo's first game as a Sabre. He skated on the team's fourth line and finished the game with a minus-1 rating. The Sabres called up three players after the deadline in the hopes of giving its minor leaguers a chance to audition for next year. D'Amigo was rewarded for a strong second-half performance in AHL Rochester. His fantasy value is minimal.

The Sabres recalled D'Amigo from AHL Rochester on Tuesday, the team's official site reports. D'Amigo, who has recorded 26 points in 59 AHL games this season, bolsters the Sabres' depth up front, along with fellow recalls Tim Schaller and Mikhail Grigorenko in the wake of the team having dealt the forward trio of Chris Stewart, Torrey Mitchell and Brian Flynn on Monday.

D'Amigo was acquired by the Sabres on Tuesday in exchange for forward Luke Adam. D'Amigo, who made his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs last season, had seven points in 28 games for AHL Springfield. The 23-year-old will remain in the AHL for the time being and report to the Sabres' affiliate in Rochester, but he could develop into a checking line option for his new organization down the road.
