Former Dallas Star forward Jere Lehtinen has been named as the general manager of the national Finnish team. He replaces Finnish icon Jar Kurri. Lehtinen is the only player in Finland's histroy to win a World Championship and Stanley Cup. Lehtinen, a strong two-way forward, played all 14 of his NHL seasons with the Stars, registering 243 goals and 271 assists in 875 games.
