Petry had an assist, one shot, one blocked shot and three hits in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Petry moved in from the point to corral a loose puck, circled the net, then found a wide open Mike Reilly, who scored the game-winning goal early in the third period. It was the 35th point for Petry, who is well within striking distance of eclipsing the career-high 42 points he had last season.

Petry recorded an assist in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
The Habs' second-best blueliner behind Shea Weber has recorded assists in consecutive contests, and for the season, now has 22 helpers to go along with nine goals. Petry, through 45 games, is averaging 0.69 points per game which is the highest mark of his career. If he continues on this pace, the 31-year-old will set new career highs across the board.

Petry scored a goal, blocked three shots and had one hit over 21:27 of ice time in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Petry played a normal allotment of minutes Tuesday, as Shea Weber was able to play despite getting injured Monday. He was the goat Monday when his turnover led to the lone goal in a 1-0 loss to the Wild, but Petry erased that memory by scoring the game-winner early in the third period. It was his ninth goal in 44 games, putting him within striking distance of the career-high 12 he scored in 82 games last season.

Petry had six shots and four hits over a team-high 27:08 of ice time in Monday's 1-0 loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Petry moved up the blue-line pecking order during the first period when Shea Weber left the game after getting hit in the face by a puck. He hadn't seen this level of TOI since Nov. 24, a time when Weber was still rehabbing from knee surgery. Weber was on the team's charter to Detroit, so he could suit up for Tuesday's meeting with the Red Wings. If he's not ready to go, Petry will once again move up to the top pair while Karl Alzner replaces Weber in the lineup.

Petry had the primary assist on a power-play goal in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Avalanche. He also contributed one shot, one blocked shot and four hits over 23:45 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Petry has continued to put up points since being dropped to the second pair, having registered five goals and four assists over the last nine games. He remains a cog on the power play, but with just one of those nine points coming on that special team, Petry has been an even-strength offensive force.

Petry scored his team's only goal in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Wild.
EDGE Analysis
Early in the third, with his team trailing 6-0, Petry took a pass from Michael Chaput and beat Devan Dubnyk with a slap shot to break the goalie's shutout bid. Apart from that, it was a forgettable night for the Canadiens, but individually it's been an impressive season for the 31-year-old blueliner, who's now up to five goals and 22 points in 31 games this season. Including Tuesday's effort, Petry has three goals and five points over his last five games. He is, along with Shea Weber, one of only two Montreal defensemen worthy of daily consideration in fantasy.

Petry scored his third goal of the season in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
With Sunday's snipe, 30-year-old blueliner ended his five-game pointless streak, bringing Petry up to three goals and 18 points in 27 games. With Shea Weber back healthy, Petry will certainly see his ice time slashed and also will be given fewer opportunities with the man advantage. While No. 6's return is definitely a boost to the Canadiens' blue line, it has undeniable consequences for Petry's fantasy value.

Petry had five shots, three hits and one blocked shot in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Carolina. He logged 22:53 of ice time, two minutes less than his season average of 24:52.
EDGE Analysis
Petry was dropped to the second pair because Montreal's top blue liner, Shea Weber, made his season debut following a lengthy rehab of a knee injury. He had been filling in for Weber on the top pair and first-unit power play while playing Weber-like minutes. The 30-year-old defenseman was also dropped to the second-unit power play, so there's a reasonable expectation for a reduction in scoring opportunities going forward. Last season, when Weber missed 26 games, Petry set a new career benchmark with 42 points and was on pace to break that this season.

Petry had an assist, four shots on net, five hits and a blocked shot in a game-high 27:49 of ice time in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Petry's stretch pass to Tomas Tatar, who got behind the Vancouver defense, set up Montreal's first goal. The assist was Petry's 14th and his 15th point, ranking him tied for eighth in scoring among defensemen. He continues to get a significant amount of ice time, which can help support scoring, but with Shea Weber nearing a return -- he's skating again and could beat a mid-December timetable -- Petry's ice time will take a hit.

Petry registered a pair of assists Tuesday in a 5-3 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
In addition to the two helpers, Petry logged a game-high 28:16 of ice time Tuesday but wound up posting a minus-3 rating in the process. As Shea Weber (foot) works his way back to full health, Petry continues to receive a heavy workload on Montreal's blueline, averaging 24:18 of ice time through 15 games. He'll enjoy a day off Wednesday before Montreal battles Buffalo on Thursday.
