Bouwmeester's third-period goal Saturday forced overtime where the Blues went on to beat the Blue Jackets, 2-1.
EDGE Analysis
Bouwmeester is an unlikely source of offense, but the Blues aren't choosy these days. The team entered Saturday's game having scored just five goals in the previous five games. The team-wide impact of the Blues' recent offensive malaise is taking its toll on everyone. While Bouwmeester is not typically a good source of offense, his two points (one goal, one assist) through 12 games is off his usual point-per-game pace as a member of the Blues.

Bouwmeester had a team-high five blocked shots in 21:33 of ice time in St. Louis' 3-2 win over Minnesota on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old Bouwmeester takes a backseat offensively to others on the Blues blue line, so his contributions will have to come in other areas. Through two games, he leads St. Louis with eight blocked shots.

Bouwmeester was named Wednesday as the replacement for the injured Duncan Keith (knee) for Team Canada at the World Cup of Hockey, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bouwmeester has failed to reach the 20-point mark in each of his last two seasons, which will lead some to question his addition to the team. However, the 32-year-old adds veteran leadership along with the ability to play on the penalty kill. Last season, he averaged nearly four minutes per game shorthanded. Back with the Blues for the start of the 2016-17 campaign, fantasy owners may not want to bank on high production numbers, but he has been relatively durable over the course of his career and logs a lot of ice time.

Bouwmeester returned to the lineup Thursday after missing six games with an upper-body injury. He finished with two hits, one blocked shot and one shot on net in 21:25 of ice time in a 2-1 overtime win over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Bouwmeester, who was suspected to have a concussion, finally got clearance the day of the game. He received a healthy amount of playing time while skating on the second defensive pair, so apparently there are no limitations. He'll have one more regular-season game -- Saturday against the Capitals -- to get himself prepared for the postseason.

Bouwmeester (upper body) will rejoin the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blackhawks, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bouwmeester was considered a candidate to return after getting in a full practice Wednesday, and the blueliner will indeed do so, pairing with Kevin Shattenkirk for the contest. There's no reason to believe he shouldn't maintain the same role he had before the injury, so the 32-year-old should be deployed as usual.

EDGE Analysis
Bouwmeeter has missed the last six games with what was initially called an upper-body injury, but later learned he was being treated for concussion-like symptoms. Head coach Ken Hitchcock said a decision to play may not come until after the pre-game skate.

Bouwmeester (upper body) is listed as day-to-day for Monday's home game against Arizona, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
The day-to-day designation represents a promotion for Bouwmeester, who has been listed as "questionable" or "out" the last five games. The Blues are still calling it an upper-body injury, but some reports had Bouwmeester dealing with concussion-like symptoms. At any rate, the improved "day-to-day" designation suggests he'll get on the ice at some point in the final three games of the regular season.

Bouwmeester (upper body) is being treated for a possible concussion, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bouwmeester missed his third straight game Tuesday with that the Blues are been referring to as an upper-body injury. If he is eventually diagnosed with a concussion, it would be his second one this season -- the first suffered against Anaheim on Jan. 8 which forced him to miss four games. The defenseman remains day-to-day with no timetable for a return.
