From what I can see, with the Pittsburgh getting everyone back into the lineup except for defenseman Christian Ehrhoff, the Penguins will start to be an imposing force again.  Last night they didn't even get offensive contributions from Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin and still managed to manhandle the Detroit Red Wings 4-1…. It's nice to see the Sedin twins still have something left in the tank as the Vancouver Canucks held off the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 last night. Not to be outdone by the Sedins, Marian Hossa scored twice while Patrick Kane took over the league lead in scoring with 3 points in a losing effort…. The night ended with another high-scoring affair as the Washington Capitals defeated the San Jose Sharks 5-4 in overtime. This game went to the dogs, we'll just once dog actually, as Capital Jay Beagle had 2 goals and an assist. Don’t look for more games like this one from Mr. Beagle…Sharks d-man Brent Burns scored twice and already has 6 points in February whereas he only had 8 total points in January. Expect more consistent scoring from the talented blue liner….the Sharks offense seems to have woken up as all the main characters had 2-point nights with the exception of Joe Pavelski who had 1 assist.  Continue to roll out your Sharks every week as they battle for playoff position.

Beagle has not played this season because of an upper-body injury, but he will be activated and take Brooks Laich's spot in the lineup vs. the Oilers on Wednesday. This is perfect timing for Beagle who is from Calgary, Albert and will take on the Oilers on Wednesday and Flames on Friday.

Beagle has just nine goals and nine assists in 130 career NHL games.
