Jason Blake is listed as probable for Saturday afternoon's contest against the Senators. He sustained an upper-body injury Wednesday night against the Coyotes when he was struck with a shot and missed practice on Friday. Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau still believes Blake will be able to suit up against Ottawa, but the Ducks are planning to re-call Kyle Palmieiri as insurance in case Blake can't go.

Jason Blake and Matt Beleskey were held out of practice Thursday to heal some bumps and bruises. The Ducks play their next game on Saturday afternoon versus Ottawa, so they should be ready to go by then. "If we were to play tonight, they'd probably be questionable," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "But I think another day or two days might [help]. I think they'll both be able to play." Blake has posted a modest three-game scoring streak of late, with four goals and two assists during that span. He has eight points in 11 appearances this year.

Jason Blake recorded two goals and one assist as the Anaheim Ducks beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 on Sunday. All six of Blake's points have come since he returned from a wrist injury. He's not necessarily a high-end option in fantasy, but he was once considered valuable because of his tendency to rack up high SOG totals. (Blake had 10 on Sunday.) Keep an eye on him, if nothing else.

Jason Blake scored his first goal of the season in Anaheim's 5-0 win over Edmonton Friday night. He is still trying to get his timing back after missing 34 games due to a torn left tendon in his wrist. "Obviously it felt good," Blake said. "It's been a tough go trying to get back into action. Just trying to get my legs underneath me. Missing (34) games, it's not easy. The team's going well. I'm just glad to get that one off my back." Now that he seems to be getting his game back, Blake can be an effective replacement forward should one of your primary fantasy players go down with injury.

Jason Blake is now playing on the third line with Andrew Cogliano and Matt Beleskey. Blake returned to action this week after missing 11 weeks with a torn tendon in his wrist and lined up with Teemu Selanne and Saku Koivu on the second unit. Coach Bruce Boudreau thought he placed too much pressure on the veteran Blake too soon and changed up the lines putting Niklas Hagman on the second line and dropping Blake down. Look for Blake to eventually return to a top-six role.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said that he played Jason Blake too much on Wednesday in his return after three months from a wrist injury. Blake was expected to see only 14-15 minutes but saw 16:15 minutes of action. "I thought he gave it everything he had and then he just sort of ran out of gas," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I looked at the third period when we down to three lines. I'd sit him a couple of shifts because I knew he just had nothing left. At a time when you need to push, you need guys to push. And he didn't have anything in the tank to push. So it was tough or him." Blake found himself on the third line in practice on Thursday with Nick Bonino and Andrew Cogliano while Niklas Hagman took Blake's spot on the second line alongside Teemu Selanne and Saku Koivu.

Jason Blake logged 16:15 minutes in his return from a wrist injury. Blake was expected to get only 14-15 minutes in his return. This was his first game since October 14th when San Jose's Brent Burns accidentally stepped on him and cut his tendon. Blake finished the game with a plus-one rating despite the fact that the Ducks' loss 3-1.

Jason Blake (wrist) will be back in the Ducks' lineup on Wednesday. He's projected to play on a line with Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne, but he'll be limited to 14-15 minutes of ice time. Coincidentally, his first game back will be the team that he suffered a serious wrist injury against, the San Jose Sharks. Blake's tendon was cut when San Jose's Brent Burns accidentally stepped on him on October 14th. "Stuff happens in hockey," Blake said. "I haven't even thought about Brent. I have the utmost respect for him even before this happened."

Jason Blake (wrist) is hoping to return either Wednesday or Friday to the Ducks lineup. Blake has been out since October 14 when a tendon in his wrist was cut by a skate. He was scheduled to be out three months so this is a week or two quicker than anticipated for the veteran forward. "I just hope that it's time. I'm ready to play," he said. Once Blake returns, he could move onto the second line with Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne with Bobby Ryan moving to the top line alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Stay tuned.

Jason Blake (wrist) might return to the Ducks' lineup as early as Wednesday. Blake was originally supposed to return in mid-January, but he's well ahead of schedule. Blake hasn't played since having his tendon cut when San Jose's Brent Burns accidentally stepped on him during a game on October 14th.
