Jagr won the 2016 Masterton Trophy on Wednesday at the NHL Awards ceremony in Las Vegas, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Masterton is awarded "to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey," and Jagr certainly deserves that honor as someone who just capped off his 22nd year in the NHL and still managed to lead the Panthers with 66 points (27 goals, 39 assists) in 79 games. Jagr will return for at least one more season but reportedly has backed out of the World Cup of Hockey in September.

Jagr will not take part in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to the report, Martin Rucinsky, general manager of the Czech Republic, said Jagr wouldn't have enough time to prepare for the tournament, which runs from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1. Still, the 44-year-old has already signed a one-year deal to return to the Panthers next season. He led that club with 66 points in 2015-16.

Jagr agreed to a new one-year contract with Florida on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr will continue chasing that elusive third title despite the fact that he will turn 45 during the 2016-17 campaign. If there was ever a player that seemed prepared to break Gordie Howe's record for oldest player to suit up for an NHL team, it certainly would be the Czech winger. Jagr led all Panthers' scorers with 66 points in 79 contests this season and displayed his uncanny ability to put points on the board. In terms of fantasy value, many pundits have speculated a slow down is right around the corner, yet it may not be wise to bet against the ageless wonder.

Panthers general manager Dale Tallon said Jagr, a pending unrestricted free agent, would like to return to the team, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
He's 44 years old, so it's hard to blame Jagr for looking spent in the first-round, playoff series loss to the Islanders, especially with Games 5 and 6 going into double overtime. The ageless wonder dialed in 27 goals and 39 assists in the regular season, but came up empty on 20 shots in the playoffs. On a positive note, he ended up with a pair of helpers. There's just no quitting with Jagr, who undoubtedly has a spot reserved in the Hall of Fame. Thanks to his glory days with the Penguins in the 90's - including four 100-plus point seasons in a span of six years - Jagr remains well over a point-per-game pace in his 22-year career. He's compiled 1,868 points (749 goals, 1119 assists) through 1,629 contests, having played in parts of seasons - and the entire schedule in some cases -- with the Penguins, Capitals, Rangers, Flyers, Bruins, Stars, Devils and Panthers. He'll be a viable fantasy option as long as he's physically able to keep going.

Jagr earned his 200th career postseason point in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr found the scoresheet for the first time this series as he added a helper to Teddy Purcell's game-tying goal in the second period--helping the Panthers to even up their first-round series. Remarkably, the seasoned right winger tallied his 200th postseason point (78 goals, 122 assists) in 206 games. Clearly father time hasn't caught up with him yet, as the 44-year old veteran continues to be a solid offensive force for the Panthers--giving him a high fantasy value.

Jagr scored the Panthers only goal and managed three shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
It was business as usual for Jagr, who continues to perform at the age of 44. The ageless wonder now has points in seven of his last eight games and goals in two of his last four. No one expected Jagr to perform at this level coming into the season, but he continues to defy the odds and doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.

Jagr notched a pair of assists -- one on the power play -- in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
After ending a five-game point streak with a rare quiet effort in Toronto, Jagr bounced right back, as he always seems to. The NHL's oldest active player has stunned the league again with 64 points, nine of which have come in the last seven games. You can't bet against him.

Jagr scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in 17:21 of ice time in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Jagr continues to prove that age is just a number to him, as he now has at least one point in 16 of 21 games played since turning 44 on Feb 15 (9 goals, 13 assists). He is performing at a high level down the stretch and has points in five games straight. His 26 goals ties him for the lead on the team with Aleksander Barkov.

Jagr picked up a pair of assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Almost not surprisingly at this point, the 44-year-old Jagr has actually improved as the regular season winds down. The veteran has not only reached the scoresheet in four straight, but he's recorded 15 points in March, two more than February and it's also his third double-digit month of this campaign. If the fountain of youth argument wasn't legitimate before, keep in mind Jagr's now at 61 points, the 17th time he's reached that feat in his career.

Jagr registered an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The 44-year-old veteran won't go quiet down the stretch, reaching the scoresheet in three consecutive games for a total of four points. Jagr also sports an impressive plus-17 on the year, and if the rating holds true, it would be his best since the 2013-14 season with New Jersey.
