Jaromir Jagr said he doesn't want a night off before the postseason. There had been some thought that the 41-year old could use a night as a healthy scratch to recharge his batteries before the playoffs. Jagr, however, said that's not how his body works. "I feel more tired when I rest. I have to play all the time. I have to practice a lot, and I have to play," said Jagr. "My body is kind of different. I get tired when I have a rest. I would rather play two games. If it was a double-header like in baseball, I would feel the best." Alrighty then.

Jaromir Jagr scored his 16th goal of 2013 as the Boston Bruins beat the Florida Panthers 3-0 on Sunday. That's his fourth GWG of the season and the 118th of his obvious Hall of Fame career. Carl Soderberg and Chris Kelly were credited with assists on that tally. Wherever he's placed in the lineup, he's likely to raise his teammates' play - even at an advanced age.

Jaromir Jagr contributed two assists in Boston's 5-4 win over New Jersey Wednesday night. He has four helpers in his past two games and five points in four contests since being acquired by the Bruins earlier this month. Look for him and Tyler Seguin to attempt to step up while Brad Marchand is out of the lineup.

Jaromir Jagr apologized to linemates Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand after his Boston Bruins debut. Jagr said he only slept about two hours due to packing and traveling after being traded to the Bruins on Wednesday. Of course, the future Hall of Famer also scored Boston's only goal on a deflection off his skate, which also happened to be the game winner. More importantly, Jagr played a full two minutes on the Bruins' woeful power play, which could end up being quite the boost for fantasy owners down the stretch.

Jaromir Jagr was the only goal scorer in the Bruins' 1-0 win over New Jersey on Thursday. Jagr was credited with the game's only goal early in the second period when a puck banked into the goal off his skate, but the scoresheet will only show that the future Hall of Famer scored the game winner in his first game with Boston. Zdeno Chara and Brad Marchand picked up assists on the marker.

It's still unclear how Jaromir Jagr will fit into Boston's lineup following his acquisition from Dallas. There are a few different scenarios that could play out depending on the injury status of Patrice Bergeron. Jagr probably would've slotted onto Boston's third line with Rich Peverley and Chris Kelly if not for injuries. Kelly is still sidelined with a broken tibia so Jagr may line up on the top line with Tyler Seguin shifting to center and Brad Marchand occupying the other wing. We should get a clearer picture of who Jagr will play with after he practices with the team for the first time. He should also be a fixture on the Bruins' meager power play.

The Dallas Stars have traded Jaromir Jagr to the Boston Bruins in exchange for prospects Lane MacDermid, Cody Payne and a conditional second-round pick. Jagr is the biggest name traded out of Dallas as the Stars continue to sell off their veterans in exchange for picks and prospects. His 14 goals and 26 points both lead the Stars at the time of this trade and he should be an immediate boost to Boston's sagging power play, which has been in the bottom third of the league all season long. MacDermid has played in just three games this season and has spent the majority of the year as a healthy scratch. Payne has 24 goals and 45 points in his second season with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League.

The Boston Bruins have acquired Jaromir Jagr from the Dallas Stars in exchange for two prospects and a draft pick, ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reports. The Stars reportedly told Jagr he would be dealt before tomorrow's trade deadline and the Bruins make a ton of sense as a destination after Boston lost out on Jarome Iginla. Needless to say, Jagr, who's already having a strong fantasy season, would be playing with a much better supporting cast in Boston than he was in Dallas. The Stars, meanwhile, appear to be in full-on sell mode after reportedly trading Derek Roy earlier Tuesday.

Future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr picked up the 1,000th assist of his illustrious career Friday night in the Dallas Stars' 5-3 win over the Minnesota Wild. He became the 12th player - and first European in NHL history - to reach that milestone. "When I started, I never thought about any assists and points, I was happy to be able to play (in the NHL)," said Jagr, who began his NHL career in 1990. "When I came here, I didn't think I'd have a chance to play here, the league was too strong and too tough for me. I kept working hard and I've had so many good players around me, I really was pretty lucky."

If Jaromir Jagr re-signs with the Dallas Stars, it will probably be a one-year deal. Jagr turned 41 on Feb. 15, so that's not too surprising. "In my mind, I don't want to sign too long, because if I play bad, I don't want to be stuck someplace and I don't want to hurt the team," Jagr said. "The whole key is I want to be someplace where I can help. If I play [bad], I don't want to do that to somebody. If I play good, I can always sign." If the Stars don't like their chances of re-signing Jagr, they might opt to trade him before the April 3 deadline.
