Benn has one power-play goal working against a minus-3 rating through two games this preseason.
EDGE Analysis
Benn was a major disappointment last year, as he finished with 26 goals and 43 assists; for your average skater, those would be spectacular numbers, but it actually represented a 20-point drop for the B.C. native compared to the prior season. The Stars have a fair amount of young defensemen still learning the nuances of a difficult position, but Benn should benefit from the team's offseason acquisition of goalie Ben Bishop -- particularly in the plus-minus column as the 2016 All-Star figures to keep the puck out of the cage more often than Antti Niemi and Kari Lehtonen had in recent years.

Benn delivered two assists and four shots in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Benn assisted on both of Ales Hemsky's goals, but missed in the shootout en route to a 2-1 defeat. While he entered the night mired in a season-worst five-game point drought, Benn is still on pace to top 70 points for the fourth consecutive campaign. His 24 goals and minus-6 rating have to be considered disappointing after the 27-year-old winger averaged 37 goals and a plus-10 mark over the previous three seasons.

Benn (eye) returned to the lineup for Monday's game against the Sharks, but failed to tally a point in the contest.
EDGE Analysis
Benn has now been held off the scoresheet for five consecutive games, but the 27-year-old forward has still racked up an impressive 63 points in 67 games this season, so it's safe to assume he'll return to form in short order. His next chance to add to his point total will come Thursday in a tough divisional matchup with the Blackhawks.

Benn (eye) will make his return Monday after missing Friday's contest.
EDGE Analysis
The forward had a four-game pointless streak before getting injured on Thursday against Vancouver, but he still does have a fantastic 63 points in 66 games. Now that he's back, he should slot into fantasy lineups as usual.

Benn (eye) is officially considered a game-day call for Monday's contest against the Sharks, Mark Stepneski of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Benn missed Friday's contest because of the eye issue, but Stars radio host Bruce LeVine indicates that he practiced without a face shield Sunday and should be considered a better than 50-50 shot at playing in the tilt. A confirmation of his status should come Monday and will likely be the top concern of most fantasy owners.

Benn will miss Friday night's game in Calgary as a result of his upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Benn will miss his fifth game overall on the season, but the silver lining is that coach Lindy Ruff expects the captain to miss only Friday's contest. There's obviously no guarantees, but wary fantasy should look for updates on the 27-year-old's status ahead of Monday's puck drop with the Sharks. Jiri Hudler will draw into the lineup with Benn on the shelf Friday

Benn left Thursday's game with an upper-body injury and won't return.
EDGE Analysis
Benn logged 10:17 and only picked up five penalty minutes before leaving Thursday's contest. The winger went on a streak in late February and early March, notching 10 points in seven games, before going pointless in his last four. More information about his injury should be revealed after the game or after practice Friday.

Benn posted a goal and an assist in the Stars' 2-1 win over Florida on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
That's points in six straight for the captain, not to mention a pretty well-rounded stat line. He collected two points, a plus-two rating, three shots, a hit and a blocked shot. Benn has been a beast in the second half of the season. Over the last 27 games, he's posted 15 goals and 34 points with an average of 3.19 shots per game. The Stars might not win often enough, but Benn has been outstanding.

Benn tacked on a power-play and shorthanded goal Thursday night in a 5-4 home loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Benn was able to provide the Stars with a glimmer of hope when he tallied the shortie with 2:51 remaining in the contest, but the Islanders clamped down and ensured that would be the final goal of the game. Benn now has points in five consecutive games -- including four goals and three assists -- and is up to 60 for a point-per-game pace. He's a true difference maker in all fantasy landscapes, so enjoy the production.

In the first game since his brother was traded away, Benn posted an assist and a pair of shots in a win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
That gives Benn points in four straight games. As usual, he's a top fantasy start, averaging nearly a point per game with 21 goals and 58 points in 59 games.
