Wisniewski had a sore foot in the aftermath of Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports. Wisniewski will be evaluated when the team gets back to Columbus, ahead of Tuesday's game against the Capitals. He scored a power-play goal in Sunday's loss, and the injury didn't affect his ice time. If Wisniewski cannot play Tuesday, Jordan Leopold could join the lineup.

Wisniewski recorded a power-play goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins. Wisniewski has been effective on the power play all season, registering 14 points and picking up all but one of his goals with the man advantage. With the trade deadline imminent, it's possible the defenseman could be moved, but he should continue to be a reliable fantasy option regardless of his team.

As per the terms of his contract, last week the Blue Jackets officially requested a list from Wisniewski of 10 teams to which he would not accept a trade, the Columbus Dispatch reports. The defenseman has stated publicly that he doesn't want to leave Columbus, and may have crafted his no-trade list to try and make any deal difficult by including any teams who could actually swallow his $5 million cap hit, but it's clear now that Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen is actively looking to move Wisniewski by Monday's trade deadline.

Wisniewski will return to the lineup Tuesday against the Sabres. The Jackets made Wisniewski a healthy scratch for the first time all season in Sunday's game against the Rangers. It was a curious decision given that the blueliner ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 27 points, but coach Todd Richards has been less pleased with his defensive effort of late. Fortunately for Wisniewski owners, it sounds like his banishment to the press box was just a one-game wake-up call rather than something that will become a permanent arrangement.

Wisniewski was a surprise scratch on Sunday, the Columbus Dispatch reports. Comments from Blue Jackets' coach Todd Richards seemed to indicate that the move was due to poor recent play from Wisniewski, but expect the trade rumors to multiply given how far the Jackets are from a playoff spot.

Wisniewski turned in an active all-around outing in Saturday's loss to the Islanders, finishing with an assist, two PIM, five hits, and three shots on goal.Wisniewski returned to action Friday against the Flyers after missing the Jackets' previous two games with a lower-body injury. He also picked up an assist in that game, and currently holds a four-game point streak dating back to before he missed time with the ailment. The 30-year-old probably won't ever replicate the surprising 51-point output he achieved last season, but there's still a place for him in most fantasy leagues.

Wisniewski (lower body) resumed skating on his own Wednesday, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports. The Blue Jackets won't play their next game until Friday against the Flyers, but Wisniewski will probably have to resume practicing with the rest of the team Thursday to have a realistic shot at returning to the lineup over the weekend. The lower-body ailment has kept him unavailable for the Jackets' last two games.
