Wisniewski (knee) was on the ice prior to morning skate Tuesday, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Hurricanes have been relatively mum on Wisniewski since the defenseman sustained a torn ACL in the first game of the season. We'll take the lack of substantial information as a sign that he still has several hurdles to overcome in his rehab before he'd be able to return. Only 22 games remain on the regular-season schedule for the Hurricanes, who still have work to do in order to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Wisniewski is still rehabbing from left knee surgery performed early last October, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wisniewski has logged just 47 seconds of ice time this campaign as he tore his ACL in the first game of the season. The team hasn't disclosed much information about his recovery progress though it's worth noting that Wisniewski's return timetable of six months falls right around the tail end of the regular season.

Wisniewski is expected to be sidelined six months after undergoing surgery on his left knee Friday to repair the torn ACL he suffered in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Predators, NHL.com's Michael Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wisniewski suffered the injury after just 47 seconds of ice time in Thursday's tilt. Injuries have been a consistent issue for the 31-year-old throughout much of his NHL career. He was forced to miss 26 games due to injury last season alone, and is now slated to miss the entirety of the 2015-16 regular season with his latest injury. The Hurricanes will need to make the playoffs for Wisniewski to have any shot at suiting up for an NHL contest this season.

Wisniewski left the game in the first period with a lower-body injury and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
Wisniewski suffered the injury on just his second shift of the night, playing just 47 seconds before going down. He had to be helped off the ice, which is never a good sign, but the team should provide a follow-up on his status at some point in the near future.

Wisniewski (groin) played in the Hurricanes' final preseason game Friday, skating 17:30 and registering a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Earlier in the week, the 31-year-old Wisniewski was forced to miss Wednesday's game against Washington due to the injury, along with Monday's practice. However, after rejoining the ranks for Friday's friendly against the Pens, he looks good to go for Thursday's season opener against the Predators. Keep in mind, however, that the injury-prone Wisniewski has never played a full 82-game schedule in his 10-year career, so don't be surprised if he winds up back in the trainers' room at some point. He's a solid fantasy play when healthy, but given his track record, he should be considered a high-risk fantasy option. Draft with caution.

Wisniewski missed Monday's practice with a groin injury, The News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
So far, there has been no mention of the severity of the injury, so hopefully it's something relatively minor that clears up before the start of the regular season. If healthy, Wisniewski projects as a top-four defenseman for the Canes this season - someone who can log heavy minutes and help quarterback the power play alongside Justin Faulk. Keep an eye on his status prior to the Canes' season opener Oct. 8 against the Predators.

The Hurricanes traded Wisniewski to Anaheim in exchange for Anton Khudobin on Saturday, TSN's Jason Gregor reports. The move was largely a salary dump for the Ducks, as shortly after trading Wisniewski they acquired Carl Hagelin from the Rangers, a player that will command a high salary when he becomes a restricted free agent on July 1. Wisniewski will provide the Hurricanes with a strong veteran presence on the blue line. He also has some offensive upside, as he managed to tally 34 points in 69 games in 2014-15.

Wisniewski will not take the ice Saturday against Winnipeg, the Orange County Register reports. Wisniewski was a healthy scratch in game one and will remain out for the second game of the Ducks' series against the Jets. Clayton Stoner and Sami Vatanen are expected to comprise Anaheim's third defensive pairing.

Wisniewksi will be a healthy scratch for Game 1 of the Ducks' first-round playoff series Thursday against the Jets, the Los Angeles Times reports. Wisniewski was surprised by coach Bruce Boudreau's choice to sit him, but due to the Ducks' plentiful depth on defense, lineup decisions don't exactly come easy. Still, Wisniewski was thought to be on solid ground for a regular lineup spot given the haul the Ducks gave up at the trade deadline to acquire him (Rene Bourque, William Karlsson, and a 2015 second-round pick), but his mostly unimpressive production post-trade likely factored into the decision to scratch him. Wisniewski, who tallied no goals and five assists in 13 games after his March 2 acquisition, will give way to Clayton Stoner on the Ducks' third defensive pairing.

Wisniewski notched an assist in Sunday's win over the Devils, giving him three straight games with a helper. Wisniewski had a healthy scratch sprinkled into the streak, but he's nonetheless beginning to make an impact offensively for the Ducks. However, he remains without a goal in his 10 games with the team.
