Reimer will start on the road versus the Jets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer has been gifted an opportunity to stake a claim to playing time with Alex Lyon (upper body) and Ville Husso (lower body) both suffering injuries within the last week. Reimer hasn't won since Oct. 22, and he's at a poor 2-4-2 record with a 2.61 GAA and a .908 save percentage through nine games this season. He'll be backed up by Michael Hutchinson for the foreseeable future. The Jets have won four of their last six games, scoring 22 goals in that span.

Reimer allowed two goals on 14 shots in a 4-3 home loss against the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer came on for an injured Ville Husso (lower body) late in the opening frame. He allowed a power-play goal to Adam Henrique late in the first period, and an even-strength marker to Troy Terry early in the second before settling into the game. Considering the circumstances, Reimer did a pretty good job hanging in and giving his team a chance at a comeback victory. If Husso is forced to miss time, Reimer might see his workload meaningful increase.

Reimer surrendered five goals on 34 shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Stars. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer hadn't started since Nov. 16 in Sweden versus the Senators. He tuned up with a 20-minute relief outing on Saturday, but he couldn't carry any momentum into this start. The 35-year-old is down to 2-3-2 with a 2.58 GAA and a .911 save percentage over eight appearances. He's currently the Red Wings' No. 3 goalie, so it will require either an injury or poor play from Alex Lyon or Ville Husso to get Reimer back into the mix on a regular basis.

Reimer will be between the pipes on the road versus Dallas on Monday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer will take the first game of the Red Wings' back-to-back, which will leave coach Derek Lalonde with a decision about using either Ville Husso or Alex Lyon versus the Blues on Tuesday. Reimer clearly earned his start after saving all 11 shots he faced in a relief appearance against Ottawa on Saturday. With Detroit carrying three goalies, Reimer's playing time has been too inconsistent for fantasy managers to keep him on their rosters full-time -- he had not played in the previous nine games before Saturday.

Reimer saved all 11 shots that came his way in relief duty on the way to Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer stepped into the crease to start the third period after scheduled starter Alex Lyon permitted four goals on 25 shots. Ironically, Reimer hadn't played since a Nov. 16 contest against the Senators in Sweden for the NHL Global Series, when he set aside 29 of 34 shots and ended up saddled with an overtime loss. The Red Wings are unique because they have three goalies on the active roster, with Ville Husso's 14 appearances leading the trio. There's simply not enough work for Reimer to stand out in fantasy, despite his impressive 2.18 GAA and .922 save percentage between seven contests.

Reimer turned aside 29 shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
It was a wild affair in Stockholm, as Ottawa took a 4-0 lead early in the second period only to see Detroit storm back and tie it before the second intermission. Reimer made a number of big stops to help keep the comeback alive, but he'd probably like another crack at the OT winner -- with just two seconds left, Tim Stutzle took a two-handed swing at a puck in midair that the netminder had lost sight of, and it fluttered over Reimer's head as he reflexively ducked. It's the first time this season the 35-year-old has given up more than three goals in a game, but despite his sharp 2.30 GAA and .917 save percentage, he only sports a 2-2-2 record. With Ville Husso remaining back in North America for the birth of his child, it'll likely be Alex Lyon in the crease for the Red Wings on Friday against the Maple Leafs.

Reimer will be in goal for Thursday's NHL Global Series game versus the Senators, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Ville Husso (personal) not on the trip due to the birth of his child, Reimer will get the nod in the Red Wings' first game overseas. Head coach Derek Lalonde did not rule out Reimer playing both contests -- the Red Wings also face the Maple Leafs on Friday, but Alex Lyon could get that start. Reimer has allowed seven goals on 81 shots over his last three games, but he's gone 0-2-1 in that span.

Reimer stopped 23 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
It was a frustrating night for the veteran netminder as two of Montreal's tallies, including Cole Caufield's OT winner, came on the power play while Reimer was screened. Reimer still has yet to allow more than three goals in a game this season, and through five starts he sports a 1.80 GAA and .933 save percentage to go with a 2-2-1 record. Ville Husso (3.57 GAA, .890 save percentage) continues to get more work in the Detroit crease, but that may not be the case much longer if Reimer keeps outperforming him.

Reimer will defend the home crease Thursday versus Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer has done well this season, posting a 2-2-0 record, 1.52 GAA and .944 save percentage in four contests. He stopped 25 of 26 shots but suffered a 2-0 loss to Florida in his start last Thursday. Montreal is tied for 19th with 2.92 goals per game this year.

Reimer stopped 25 of 26 shots in Thursday's 2-0 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Florida's final goal was scored into an empty net. Reimer made a number of big saves to keep the Red Wings in the game, but he would really like another crack at the one shot that beat him -- Steven Lorentz floated a shot toward the net late in the second period that the goalie couldn't squeeze with his trapper, and the puck then bounced off the crossbar and Reimer's back and skate before sliding across the goal line. The veteran netminder has yet to allow more than three goals in a start this season, and his 1.52 GAA and .944 save percentage through four outings is making a strong case for more playing time.
