Reimer stopped 27 of 30 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to Utah. The last two goals were empty-netters.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer hadn't played since March 3 versus the Canadiens, so this game was as much about shaking off the rust for him ahead of this weekend's back-to-back as it was about resting Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. Reimer put in a fine effort but still took his third straight loss (0-2-1) in the outing. He's now at 2-8-2 with a 3.00 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 14 appearances between the Sabres and the Ducks in 2024-25. Look for Luukkonen and Reimer to split the back-to-back as the Sabres face the Wild on Saturday and the Jets on Sunday.

Reimer will start Thursday's road game at Utah, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer will play for the first time since March 3 versus the Canadiens, when he stopped 16 of 20 shots in an overtime loss. The 37-year-old could get two starts in the next three games, as the Sabres' road trip ends with a back-to-back in Minnesota on Saturday and in Winnipeg on Sunday. Reimer has gone 2-7-2 with a 2.99 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 13 outings this season, so he's not a very strong fantasy option.

Reimer made 16 saves in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Montreal scored three times in the first period, but Reimer was able to regain his focus and shut the door for the final 40 minutes of regulation as Buffalo mounted a comeback to force OT. The veteran netminder flinched in extra time though, whiffing on a Mike Matheson shot from the top of the faceoff circle despite getting a clean look at it. It was the first time Reimer had given up more than three goals in an outing since Dec. 9, and over five starts since the calendar flipped to 2025, he's gone 1-3-1 with a 2.93 GAA and a .903 save percentage.

Reimer is set to start on the road against the Canadiens on Monday, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer conceded two goals on 29 shots in his last start in a loss to Carolina on Thursday. The 36-year-old has a 2-5-1 record, .911 save percentage and 2.53 GAA across 10 appearances with the Sabres this season after a brief stint with the Ducks between waiver claims. Montreal sits 15th in the NHL with 2.97 goals per game.

Fri 2/28/25 11:30 AM

Reimer stopped 27 of 29 shots after replacing Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen midway through the first period of Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer ended up getting saddled with the loss, as the first goal he gave up -- a Mikko Rantanen power-play tally that came less than two minutes after he took over the Buffalo crease -- proved to be the game-winner. Reimer hasn't allowed more than three goals in an outing since Dec. 9, and over his last seven appearances he's posted a sharp 2.30 GAA and .921 save percentage but has just a 1-4-0 record to show for it.

Reimer (personal) was on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer will probably back up Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in Tuesday's home matchup versus the Ducks. Reimer is 2-4-1 with a .908 save percentage and a 2.55 GAA through nine appearances in 2024-25.

Reimer (personal) didn't participate in Monday's practice, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer was given the day off to attend to a family issue but could be available for Tuesday's home matchup against Anaheim. If Reimer has to miss the game, Buffalo could recall Devon Levi from AHL Rochester to occupy the backup role behind Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

Reimer stopped 27 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran netminder came up with some huge saves to secure his first win since Nov. 23. Reimer hasn't played poorly since being acquired by the Sabres despite the lack of success, posting a 2.55 GAA and .908 save percentage in nine outings for the club but only coming away with a 2-4-1 record in that time. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed) was unavailable Tuesday, but with Buffalo off until Saturday, Reimer may not get an opportunity to follow up this performance until after the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Reimer will patrol the home crease against Columbus on Tuesday, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
Reimer has a 1-4-1 record with a 2.63 GAA and a .905 save percentage across his last eight appearances. Buffalo recalled Felix Sandstrom from AHL Rochester to occupy the backup role because Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed) is unavailable. Columbus is tied for eighth in the league with 3.26 goals per game in 2024-25 but will be without integral offensive contributors Zach Werenski (undisclosed), Kirill Marchenko (jaw), Sean Monahan (wrist) and Yegor Chinakhov (upper body).

Sat 1/25/25 8:20 PM

Reimer made 31 saves Saturday in a 3-2 loss to Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
He played a strong game, and the Sabres probably deserved a better fate -- the team had a goal disallowed in the third period after the NHL's Situation Room determined the puck was kicked into the net. Reimer doesn't get a lot of starts, and he hasn't won since Nov. 23 against San Jose. He is a risky spot starter behind the worst team in the East and third-worst in the NHL.
