Oettinger signed a three-year, $12 million contract extension with the Stars on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger broke out as Dallas' No. 1 netminder last season, going 30-15-1 while posting a 2.53 GAA, a .914 save percentage and one shutout. Oettinger could make 55-plus starts as the Stars' workhorse in 2022-23 -- it wouldn't be surprising to see him finish as a top-10 fantasy option at his position this year.

Oettinger stopped 64 of 67 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Flames in Game 7.
EDGE Analysis
As he was for nearly the entire series, Oettinger was spectacular. His saves ranged from routine to remarkable Sunday, but he was solved 15:09 into overtime by Johnny Gaudreau. Oettinger ended the playoffs with a 1.81 GAA and a .954 save percentage in seven games. The Stars will likely have to give the pending restricted free agent a significant contract this summer -- he's the goalie of the future in Dallas, and the future is here after he went from No. 4 to No. 1 on the depth over the course of 2021-22.

Oettinger will guard the cage Sunday in Calgary, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger stopped 36 of 38 shots in Friday's Game 6 win to force a Game 7. He's been terrific this series, registering a 1.69 GAA and a .954 save percentage through six appearances. The 23-year-old has allowed two or fewer goals in all but one game in Round 1.

Oettinger allowed two goals on 38 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Flames in Game 6.
EDGE Analysis
Much of this first-round series has seen Oettinger face a lot of traffic, and Friday was no different. He was able to turn in another excellent performance -- he's only allowed 10 goals across six starts in the postseason. There's no doubt he'll be in goal for Sunday's Game 7 as he looks to help the Stars pull off an upset.

Oettinger will patrol the home crease during Friday's Game 6 versus Calgary, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger was excellent in Wednesday's Game 5 against the Flames, stopping 29 of 31 shots, but he ultimately came away with a loss due to insufficient goal support from his teammates. The 23-year-old netminder will try to help the Stars stave off elimination by aiming for his third win of the playoffs in a rematch with the same Calgary squad Friday.

Oettinger stopped 29 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Flames in Game 5. The third goal was an empty-netter.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger turned in another great performance through two periods, but the Flames' retooled second line took over in the third. With just eight goals allowed in five games, Oettinger probably deserves better than to be staring down elimination in Friday's Game 6. He has a .956 save percentage in the playoffs, and there's virtually no doubt he'll be in net with the Stars' season on the line.

Oettinger will guard the road goal in Wednesday's Game 5 versus the Flames, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger is coming off of a 50-save performance in Monday's Game 4 loss, which left the series tied at 2-2. He's allowed just six goals on 149 shots for a .960 save percentage through four starts, and he'll look to get the Stars back ahead of the Flames in this pivotal Game 5.

Oettinger stopped 50 of 53 shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Flames in Game 4. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger gave everything he had and then some, but the Flames were finally able to open the floodgates in the latter half of this contest. The 23-year-old netminder has still allowed only six goals on 149 shots through four games, which makes it almost cruel he's only 2-2 in those starts. He'll look to get a better result in Wednesday's Game 5 in Calgary.

Oettinger will tend the twine at home against Calgary in Game 4 on Monday, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oettinger has conceded just three goals on 96 shots in the postseason for a 1.01 GAA and .969 save percentage through the first three games. At this point, the 23-year-old netminder has probably done enough to warrant a little extra lead and should be considered the preferred option in the crease for as long as the Stars remain in the playoffs.
