Looking ahead to Opening Night, the 32-year-old Allen will be tasked with carrying the load this season and could see his highest games played total since 2017-18 when he featured in 59 games for the Blues.

Allen was dialled in Thursday, especially in the second period when the Devils were buzzing the net. And he kept his teammates in the game until they forced Andrew Hammond from the Jersey net early in the third and ultimately took the win. But for the strong work Thursday, fantasy managers need to use caution with Allen in the net. He has allowed four or more goals in eight of his last 13 starts.

Allen stopped 26 of 31 shots and took the loss in Tuesday's 6-3 defeat at the hands of Ottawa.
