Moverare hasn't gotten into a game for the Kings yet but may still be in the mix against the Golden Knights on Thursday. The 23-year-old blueliner was one of three defensemen sent down to play with the Reign on Wednesday and will likely be recalled ahead of Thursday's tilt.

Moverare will likely serve as an emergency depth option heading into the Caps' back-to-back versus Carolina and Washington on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. If he does manage to crack the lineup, it would likely be in a third-pairing role that will come with minimal minutes, making him a relative non-factor in fantasy contests.

After spending the last three seasons in Sweden and Finland, Moverare came back to North America to make his AHL debut. The 22-year-old blueliner tallied a goal and 15 points in 26 appearances with AHL Ontario. He'll likely spend most of the 2021-22 campaign in the minors as well.

The Kings have recalled Moverare from his loan with SaiPa of Finland's Liiga, Lisa Dillman of The Athletic reports.

Moverare drew into 11 games with SaiPa during his loan, picking up five helpers and 29 PIM over that span. The 2016 fourth-round pick will attend the Kings' training camp, but he'll spend the upcoming campaign either in the minors or overseas.

The 2016 fourth-round pick will likely be recalled by the Kings for next campaign's training camp, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him head back overseas once the regular season gets underway.

Last season, Moverare notched four goals, three helpers and 10 PIM in 42 regular-season contests with Frolunda before adding another six points in 16 playoff appearances. The blueliner has two more seasons remaining on his entry-level deal with the Kings, so look for him to get a shot at making the roster in 2020-21, or at least playing with AHL Ontario in order to allow the club to get a closer look at him.
