Moverare failed to log a point in seven games between Nov. 17 and Dec. 2 during Drew Doughty's absence with a lower-body injury. Since Doughty returned, Moverare has been stuck in the press box, and it'll likely take another injury on the blue line for the 27-year-old to draw back in. Moverare posted two hits, two blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 10:19 of ice time in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Capitals.

This was Moverare's second appearance of the season. The Kings have been mostly set on defense so far, leaving the 27-year-old with little opportunity to check in. That will change during Drew Doughty's (lower body) absence, which has the veteran defenseman week-to-week. Still, Moverare will be heavily sheltered in a third-pairing role, so don't expect much offense from him.

Moverare notched an assist, two shots on goal, three hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Kraken.

Moverare ended a five-game point drought. The 26-year-old has played regularly late in the season, though that's been because Joel Edmundson (upper body) has been unavailable. If the Kings are at full health to begin the postseason, Moverare is likely to be out of the lineup unless the team goes back to deploying seven blueliners regularly. He's contributed eight points, 30 shots on net, 31 hits, 60 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 49 appearances.

The Kings were missing three regulars at forward and opted to dress Moverare as a seventh defenseman rather than insert forward Akil Thomas. This ended a 12-game stretch without an appearance for Moverare, who was limited to one assist in 20 contests prior to his stint in the press box. The 26-year-old defenseman has seven points, 25 shots on net, 27 hits, 51 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 43 outings in 2024-25.

Moverare was scratched for the 12th game in a row in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Moverare has no path to playing time currently, as long as the Kings' defense stays healthy. He may be above Kyle Burroughs in the pecking order should an injury arise, especially on the left side of the defense. However, Mikey Anderson, Vladislav Gavrikov and Joel Edmundson are locked in as the Kings' preferred left-shot blueliners. That leaves Moverare stuck at six points, 25 shots on net, 25 hits and 50 blocked shots through 42 appearances this season.

Drew Doughty (lower body) missed Wednesday's game, but Moverare's place in the lineup has yet to be threatened even when the Kings are fully healthy. For the season, the 26-year-old is up to six points, 25 shots on net, 23 hits, 46 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating across 38 appearances.

Moverare continues to play a third-pairing role despite being held off the scoresheet for the 15th straight game Monday in a 5-2 win over the Golden Knights.

Calgary got a little scrambled after a couple of failed clearing attempts. The second of those mistakes ended up on Moverare's stick, and he made no mistake on his lone shot of the game, putting the Kings ahead, 1-0, at 6:19 of the first period. The defenseman has four points over his last five contests, giving him five points, 17 shots on net, 21 hits, 28 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 22 outings this season. He's in no immediate danger of losing his place in the lineup, but his recent scoring success is unlikely to last.
