Markstrom allowed four goals on 35 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
This was Markstrom's third consecutive road loss, and he's now 1-3-1 over his last five starts. With Thatcher Demko (knee) on injured reserve, expect Markstrom to start against Calgary on Saturday with Michael DiPietro serving as the team's backup.

Markstrom will be between the pipes Thursday in Chicago, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom is coming off back-to-back road losses but will get a chance to get back in the win column Thursday. This makes for a tougher matchup than expected, as the Blackhawks are on fire right now, winning five straight games while scoring 28 goals in the process.

Markstrom turned aside 28 of 31 shots faced during Tuesday's 3-2 road loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom got little rest after a tough 2-1 loss to the Flyers on Monday with backup Thatcher Demko (knee) unavailable for the start in DC. The 29-year-old falls to a 20-15-5 record behind a 2.75 GAA and .910 save percentage, but could be in for some rougher outings as long as defenseman Alexander Edler (face) is on the sidelines, so exercise caution in deploying the Swedish netminder.

Markstrom will tend the twine on the road versus Philadelphia on Monday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom has been on a roll of late, as he is 3-1-1 with a 2.17 GAA and .931 save percentage. The netminder needs just three more victories to match his career high 23 wins from last season. Despite the promotion of highly-touted prospect Thatcher Demko, Markstrom figures to see the bulk of the workload the rest of the way.

Markstrom will start in goal Saturday night against host Colorado, Ben Kuzma of The Vancouver Province reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom surrendered six goals on 29 shots but still skated off with the win the last time he faced the Avalanche -- Nov. 2 at home. However, the Swede will be countered by Colorado's chief netminder Semyon Varlamov -- rather than understudy Philipp Grubauer -- this time around. Colorado ranks seventh in the league in scoring at 3.38 goals per game, and more bad news for Markstrom and the Canucks is that Nathan MacKinnon, an owner of 71 points through 50 games, is ready to return from a foot injury.

Markstrom allowed five goals on 34 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old didn't come into the night on a three-game winning streak, but he did have a .945 save percentage in the last three contests before Wednesday. Despite those three games, though, Markstrom is still struggling to keep his save percentage north of .900 this month. He is 19-13-5 with a 2.84 GAA and .908 save percentage in 2018-19.

Markstrom will be between the pipes for Wednesday's home tilt versus Carolina, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom has been rolling of late, as he is 2-0-1 with a 1.62 GAA in his previous three contests. The netminder will be looking for his 20th win of the season Wednesday and needs just four more victories to match his career-high 23 from last year.

Markstrom stopped 35 of 37 shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old is building up a little momentum, going 2-0-1 over his last three starts with a 1,62 GAA and .945 save percentage. Thatcher Demko is still viewed by the Canucks as their goalie of the future, but Markstrom appears set as their No. 1 in the short term.

Markstrom will draw the start against the Red Wings on Sunday, Dana Wakiji of the Red Wings' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Markstrom is 2-2-2 over his last six outings, allowing 17 goals on 170 shots. This comes after a terrific December where he went 8-1-0 with a 1.66 GAA and .943 save percentage. He'll need to get back to more consistent play if he wants to keep Thatcher Demko behind him on the depth chart for the rest of the season.
