Iiro Tarkki was signed by ANA on Friday January 18.

Iiro Tarkki has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the KHL's Salavat Yulaev Ufa. Tarkki was scheduled to become a restricted free agent after spending the bulk of the 2011-12 campaign with AHL Syracuse. The odds of Tarkki earning a spot on the Ducks' 2012-13 squad were not favorable.

The Anaheim Ducks have sent Iiro Tarkki to the minors. The Ducks have been using Jonas Hiller, while healthy, all the time since Dan Ellis went down with a torn groin muscle on January 7 and have been shuffling Tarkki and Jeff Deslauriers as his backup.

The Ducks have recalled goaltender Iiro Tarkki from Syracuse of the AHL. Tarkki has been the starting netminder for the Syracuse Crunch for the better part of the season, but he'll serve as Jonas Hiller's backup while in Anaheim.

Iiro Tarkki was called up from the minors on Saturday January 28.

Iiro Tarkki has been reassigned to the minors. Jonas Hiller returned to action on Thursday night from his lower-body injury and Jeff Deslauriers will remain with the club as his backup for now. Tarkki made seven saves on 10 shots in Sunday's win over Columbus, in a relief appearance, during his only NHL action following his recall.

Iiro Tarkki will probably start in Tuesday's contest. With Dan Ellis and Jonas Hiller sidelined, Tarkki has become the Ducks' starting goaltender. The Ducks are listing Hiller as day-to-day, so Tarkki might not end up getting much playing time out of this opportunity.

Iiro Tarkki was credited with a win in his first NHL game as he took over for an injured Jonas Hiller. Part of the reason that he gained that victory was mediocre play, though, as he came into the game with a 4-1 lead but allowed three goals on nine shots. Either way, he got the "W" thanks to an impressive offensive output by the Anaheim Ducks.

The Anaheim Ducks recalled goalie Iiro Tarkki along with forwards Kyle Palmieri and J.F. Jacques from the AHL. Tarkki might have a decent shot of getting some playing time with Dan Ellis sidelined for a month with a groin injury. Palmieri had two points in his seven games with the Ducks on the NHL level this season.

Goaltender Iiro Tarkki could be recalled from the AHL to back up Jonas Hiller with the groin injury suffered by Dan Ellis. Tarkki has been playing more than veteran Jeff Deslauriers so he may get the recall, although it could also be Deslauriers if the Ducks want Tarkki to keep playing. The 26-year-old is 9-11-1 with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL and has a 2.85 GAA with a .916 save percentage after a successful career in the Finnish Elite League. Stay tuned as the Ducks will need to call up one of the two to fill the roster.
