Landeskog will be considered out indefinitely after undergoing knee surgery Monday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

The Avalanche are hopeful they'll have Landeskog back for the start of the playoffs, so at this point a late-April return appears to be the best-case scenario for the 29-year-old winger. Alex Newhook may get the first crack at replacing Landeskog, who's racked up 30 goals and 59 points through 51 games this season, on the second line Sunday versus Calgary.
