Landeskog was ejected from Thursday night's game against the Bruins after an illegal hit to the head of Brad Marchand in the second period. According to Joe Haggery of CSN New England, the incident is being reviewed by the NHL Department of Player Safety.
EDGE Analysis
As pointed out by the Denver Post, Landeskog received a five-minute major, game misconduct penalty for the play and was subsequently met with a punch to the face by Marchand, who spent two minutes in the penalty box for roughing. Mikhail Grigorenko replaced Landeskog on the first line. "Obviously, he wasn't hurt (by throwing) that sucker punch," Landeskog said. "I'm happy he didn't get hurt. I feel like my principle point of contact was (his) shoulder." Once the NHL fully completes the review of the incident, fantasy owners will learn whether or not further discipline will officially be handed down to the prolific Landeskog.

After starting the season with six points over three games, Landeskog has fallen into a four-game slump in which he hasn't registered on the scoresheet.
EDGE Analysis
He's also gone minus-2 in that span, but at least Landeskog's chipped in eight penalty minutes. Even so, the sin-bin time is quite secondary to the point production fantasy owners are looking for from Landeskog. He continues to play heavy first-line minutes and took seven shots on goal against Columbus on Saturday, so it seems likely that Landeskog will turn things around in due time.

Landeskog scored two goals and two assists in Saturday's 6-3 win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Landeskog scored the Avs' fifth and sixth goals to seal a come-from-behind win against the Stars. He previously assisted on Nathan MacKinnon's first of the season and Jarome Iginla's power-play goal. The Avs captain now has five points in two games to start the season and is well on his way to completing his fourth 20-goal season. His all-round ability makes him a fantasy gem.

Landeskog capped a three-goal first period with his score in Thursday's Opening Night loss.
EDGE Analysis
Landeskog inched the puck past Devan Dubnyk after Erik Johnson's slap shot hit off the back wall. It wasn't the prettiest display of offense, but that's why style points don't count in the NHL. In an up and down night, the Avalanche captain took a key interference penalty which led to Minnesota's game-winning goal. Landeskog will most certainly want this game back, but will take the goal nonetheless.

Landeskog appears to be fully recovered from the offseason procedure he underwent to address a wrist issue, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Patrick Roy didn't cite Landeskog as a player that would enter training camp with any sort of injury limitations, so it appears safe to presume that he's back to 100 percent health. The former Calder Trophy winner will be back in a top-six role this season for the Avalanche, but it's unclear if he'll slot on the first or second line.

Landeskog recently underwent offseason wrist surgery, the Denver Post reports.
Landeskog, who was still wearing a cast as of Friday, will not be able to play for Sweden during May's World Championships as a result of the procedure. The winger is expected to be healthy for training camp and ready to reprise his top-six role for the Avalanche. He finished the recently completed season with 23 goals, 59 points, and a minus-2 rating over 82 games.

Landeskog extended his point streak to three games with an assist in Tuesday's win over the Predators.
Aside from a decline in plus/minus from plus-21 to minus-2, Landeskog's offensive production (23 goals, 58 points) looks quite similar to what he delivered in 2013-14. There was some hope this season that Landeskog could take another next step forward this season and develop into a 70-point scorer for the Avalanche, but at just 22 years old, he still has plenty of time to reach his full potential.

Landeskog scored a power-play goal and dished out an assist Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Canucks.
That's points in three straight and seven points in the last five games for Landeskog, who's at least partially compensated for his severe struggles throughout the first half of the season by rounding into form for the second half. March has been his strongest month by far, as he's racked up six goals and 14 points in 11 games.

Landeskog potted a goal -- his 21st of the season -- and added an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Flames.
The late-season surge continues for Colorado's captain, as he's now put up 14 points over his last 13 games. He's managed to crack the 50-point barrier (51 points) despite a horrible start and could challenge to get back to 60 with 10 games left on the season. Landeskog is also 47th overall in SOG with 192 and has spent 75 minutes in the sin bin, making him a nice multi-categorical fantasy also in all leagues.
